Thor Ragnarok deleted scene

After the bland Thor: The Dark World, Taika Waititi completely turned the Thor franchise around with last year’s Thor: Ragnarok by making one of the funniest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also one of the strangest, and as a newly-released Thor Ragnarok deleted scene reveals, it was almost even stranger.

Take a look at the new scene below, which features a bizarre hologram of Jeff Goldblum‘s Grandmaster, and some nice banter between Thor and Bruce Banner. Read More »

Thor Ragnarok Intro Video - Taika Waititi

Last year’s blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok will be available on Blu-ray and DVD next month, and it will include a slew of bonus features, including deleted scenes, featurettes that go behind the scenes of the making of the movie, a brand new short film featuring Thor’s former roommate Darryl shacking up with The Grandmaster, and much more.

One of the special features is a little introduction to the movie by director Taika Waititi, and it’s every bit as funny as Thor: Ragnarok. In the video, he talks about which movies they were trying to emulate, such as My Fair Lady and Independence Day, and the struggles he had living up to his parents’ aspirations for him to be J.J. Abrams instead. The Thor Ragnarok intro video is the perfect way to set the stage for Marvel’s cosmic adventure. Read More »

infinity war weapons

Marvel may try hard to keep details of their big movies a secret, but secrecy is no match for toy releases spoiling things. Thanks to some early toys, we now have a look at two new Avengers: Infinity War weapons for Captain America and Thor that will be featured in the highly-anticipated sequel. You win this round, toys.

thor ragnarok bloopers

We don’t deserve Taika Waititi. Not only is the man constantly immaculately dressed, he’s a boundless ball of joy and energy who turned his Thor: Ragnarok set into one big ‘ol dance party.

Take this Thor: Ragnarok gag reel. Rather than introduce it like your standard special feature video where the actors do talking head interviews about how much fun they had on set, Waititi primps and preens in front of the camera, taking the viewer on a dramatic tour of the set while he pokes fun at bits of set dressing. It’s so incredibly extra, and exactly what Waititi — who built up hype for his film by releasing those hilarious Team Thor mockumentary shorts — would do.

VOTD: How ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Should Have Ended

How Thor Ragnarok Should Have Ended

With over $850 million raked in at the international box office, Thor: Ragnarok was a rousing success for Marvel Studios. Plus, it managed to give new life to a franchise that felt like it was becoming a little tired. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s free from being poked and prodded by the folks at How It Should Have Ended.

In this case, there are a few different endings that could have taken place, including a couple that point out a couple plot holes that may or may not frustrate you a little bit. It’s nothing that ruins how entertaining or fun Thor: Ragnarok ended up being, but it does raise a couple questions.

valkyrie marvel comics

In a movie jam-packed with scene-stealing characters (Korg!) and moments (Thor imitating Loki turning into a snake!), Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie threatened to steal the entirety of Thor: Ragnarok. Her beer-guzzling, tortured mercenary swaggered into Thor’s life and into the pop culture pantheon, becoming far and away the fan favorite character of the movie. And now she’s making her way to the Marvel comic books, too.

A new version of Valkyrie, modeled very closely on Thompson’s mercenary introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, will make her debut in the Marvel comic Exiles.

Thor Ragnarok Concept Art Hulk

Folks, this might be the most explosive story I’ve ever written for this site. Once you read it, you will never be the same. According to some early concept art for Thor: Ragnarok, the Hulk almost had a beard. That’s right – the Incredible Hulk almost blessed us with some finely-groomed facial hair. And that’s not all: he had long hair, too. Could you even handle such a thing on the big screen? I don’t think you could. Behold the Thor Ragnarok concept art below.
