J.J. Abrams isn’t content to churn out content through his company Bad Robot. The writer/producer/director has formed a new company with former WME agent John Fogelman, called FactoryMade Ventures. In addition to working with projects developed by Abrams, FactoryMade will develop ideas from Michael Bay, Robert Rodriguez and Thom Beers, a TV producer of reality shows like Ice Road Truckers. The idea behind FactoryMade is to create content “for digital and mobile platforms,” and “cable and network television both domestically and in emerging markets.” Sounds like Abrams is looking to make more of a creator-owned push with material he develops. Read More »
