The Invasion: Final Movie Poster

The Invasion Movie PosterIf The Invasion is anywhere as bad as the theatrical movie posters that have been released so far, than we have much to worry about.

The film hits theaters in two weeks (August 17th), and the public awareness is very low. The production was troubled from the start, going through a series of re-shoots with a new director after The Wachowski Brothers were broguht on board to doctor the script. But I doubt that Martin Scorsese himself could have saved this one.

The Invasion: 30 Production Photos

We were originally excited to see The Invasion (Poster, Trailer) after hearing rumors that the film had been almost entirely rewritten by The Wachowski Brothers. But then the film’s trailer was enough to make us look the other way. Check out the new photos after the jump. As always, click on the photos to enlarge.

The Invasion Movie Poster Revealed

The Invasion

Cinematical has posted the new theatrical movie poster for The Invasion. We were once excited to see this Invasion of the Bodysnatchers remake, with rumors that the film had been almost entirely rewritten by The Wachowski Brothers. But then the film’s trailer scared us off. It was so bad that we stopped even caring about the release. But as it turns out, the July 4th extended holiday weekend is not conducive for news. And thus, we needed something to post.

The new poster doesn’t play much better than the trailer. Seems like the Warner Bros marketing department is relying way too much of the faces of the film’s stars to sell some tickets. Check out the full poster after the jump.

First Photo from The Invasion

The Invasion

Yesterday we had a look at a scientific short film which may be used in the upcoming Invasion of the Body Snatchers remake. Today we bring you the first production still, direct from ShoWest.

The above photo shows Nicole Kidman as Carol, with two unidentified actors looking out the window at, one can only assume, some kind of alien invasion. We also get our first glimpse at the film’s logo, which looks exactly how we would expect it to look.
The official synopsis reads: “A mysterious epidemic is sweeping the world, but it takes one Washington DC psychiatrist (Kidman) to discover that the disease is extraterrestrial in origin. When her son (Jackson Bond) becomes infected, she and a colleague (Daniel Craig) must work together to find a cure, before the entire world is lost…”

The Invasion will hit theaters on August 17th 2007.
