Warner Bros. has released another trailer for the man-stealing romcom Something Borrowed, and it’s making me wonder why they didn’t just release this (superior) version to begin with. The film is based on Emily Giffin‘s popular novel of the same title, and features Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson as a pair of best friends in love with the same man (Colin Egglesfield). John Krasinski also stars — and we finally get actual context for his role! Watch the trailer after the jump.

A new trailer for the Kate Hudson–Ginnifer Goodwin romcom Something Borrowed has just hit, and it’s exactly what you’d expect. The film, based on Emily Giffin‘s bestselling novel of the same title, revolves around good girl Rachel (Goodwin) as she struggles with the impending marriage of the man she loves (Colin Egglesfield) to her best friend (Hudson). John Krasinski also stars, apparently as some dude who hangs around and gives Rachel sassy life advice. It’s being directed by Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door, The Animal) from a script by Jennie Snyder (TV’s Gilmore Girls and the new 90210). Watch it after the jump.

The Steven Spielberg-produced J.J. Abrams-directed Super 8, which is shooting right now in West Virginia, has finally been given an official release date. Paramount Pictures will release the Amblin Entertainment/Bad Robot produced movie on…
June 10th 2011
This is the same date as Universal’s Fast and the Furious sequel Fast Five and the Warner Bros romantic comedy Something Borrowed starring John Krasinski/Kate Hudson, a week following the release of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, and a week prior to the release of Warner Bros’ big screen adaptation of the DC Comics property Green Lantern.

Tracy Morgan is set to take a turn in a police drama called Son of No One, in which he’ll play a role originally set for Terrence Howard. Co-stars are Katie Holmes (continuing her comeback streak), Juliette Binoche and Channing Tatum, with Ray Liotta and Al Pacino. Dito Montiel directs.
Channing is the lead character, “a young cop assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, with an old secret surfacing and threatening to destroy his life and family.” Morgan will play a friend of Channing’s character. This could be a good move for the actor; I’d love to see Morgan break away from his increasingly predictable comic persona to show some dramatic chops. [THR]
After the break, Sean Bean and Danny Dyer join a sorta-Ian Fleming biopic and Kate Hudson joins a romance. Read More »
