A full-length movie trailer has been released for Wes Craven‘s Scream 4, unveiled by the film’s Canadian distributor Alliance Viva Film (via Bleeding Cool). The trailer features a lot of new footage not shown in the initial teaser trailer, and in my mind shows both improvement and promise. Watch the trailer now embedded afte the jump. The fourth Scream film, either called Scream 4 or Scre4m, depending on where you look, is rapidly approaching. But even with the April 15 release date coming relatively soon, the film is still in the midst of the post-production process. Test screenings of the Wes Craven-directed horror sequel are underway and the flyer for the test screening has a brand new plot synopsis. There’s nothing too revealing about this, especially if you’ve seen the trailer, so feel free to check it out after the jump. Read More »
Lot of small sequel rumblings and rumors are flying about, so let’s kick things off with one of the few bits that has a substantiated quote. Speaking to MovieMikes, Ernie Hudson says that Bill Murray is part of the holdup around Ghostbusters 3. “I know he really cares about his work,” the actor says, “which is probably why there hasn’t been another Ghostbusters as of yet. Dan and Harold are working on the script. If it happens we will see but Bill has been the hold up. His definition of good is a little bit different than everybody else’s.”
Fortunately, the balance of his work over the past few years (even factoring in stinkers like Garfield and Passion Play) Bill Murray’s definition of ‘good’ is pretty much…good. I’ll take a Bill Murray failure like City of Ember over Year One.
After the break, news and rumors on the long-rumored Trainspotting sequel, the Alien prequel(s) and Scream 4. Read More »
UPDATE: The official embed has been released, so we’ve updated and bumped this post.
Yesterday the trailer for Scream 4, aka Scre4m (aka groan) leaked, but you might not have wanted to watch the cameraphone version filmed off a big screen at the Spike Awards. Now there’s a real digital version, and it’s a bit longer than the bootleg. (OK, this one still looks a little less than official, but we’ll go with it for now. This may be the international version.) Check out the real teaser for Wes Craven‘s new film in the Scream franchise, after the break. Read More »
Halloween is right around the corner, which means horror films like Paranormal Activity 2 and Saw 3D are set to rule the box office. It’s also a perfect opportunity for studios to pimp their impending horror fare and no horror movie coming in the next few months is more highly anticipated than Scre4m. Once again directed by Wes Craven with returning stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox along with a slew of famous franchise newcomers, the film is set for release on April 15, 2011. At the Spike TV Scream Awards, which shot over the weekend and air Tuesday, several of the cast members were on hand to present the world premiere of the teaser trailer and the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has interviews with the cast that provide an idea of how Scre4m is going to fit into the series.
