Jumanji 2 Set Video

Production on the new Jumanji is underway over in the jungles of Hawaii. Kevin Hart just recently posted a first look at our main characters played by himself, Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan and Jack Black. Now it’s Hart’s Central Intelligence co-star’s turn to share a behind-the-scenes look at the movie that was initially thought to be reboot, but is actually a sequel. In fact, it sounds like it’s more of a legacy-quel since the movie will pay tribute to Robin Williams’ character in some capacity.

In addition, Jumanji 2 has added some new cast members, including Flight of the Conchords and What We Do In The Shadows star Rhys Darby, and Karen Gillan revealed a tease about why her character is so scantily clad in the dangerous jungle. See all that and Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 2 set video after the jump. Read More »

what we do in the shadows sequel

Taika Waititi co-wrote, co-produced, and co-directed one of our favorite films of last year, What We Do in the Shadows. While promoting his latest film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople — which is about as delightful as the vampire mockumentary — he discussed plans for a sequel to Shadows. The proposed sequel wouldn’t center on Viago (Waititi), Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) or the bad boy of the group, Deacon (Jonny Brugh); instead, it’ll focus on their adversaries–the werewolves.

Below, Taika Waititi discusses the plot of the What We Do in the Shadows sequel, which is titled We’re Wolves, and when we might see the film.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople Trailer

After premiering at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the adventure comedy Hunt for the Wilderpeople is coming to theaters this summer. The film hails from What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi, and since the vampire mockumentary was one of /Film’s collective favorite films of 2015, it should come as no surprise that those of us who saw Hunt for the Wilderpeople at Sundance absolutely love it. And those who haven’t seen it yet, can’t wait to check it out.

A new Hunt for the Wilderpeople trailer has just debuted, and it shows off just enough of the hilarious manhunt that takes Sam Neill and breakthrough child actor Julian Dennison through the woods of New Zealand. This is an indie you simply must seek out this summer. Read More »

Flight of the Conchords movie

Hot on the heels of news that a sequel to the vampire mockumentary comedy What We Do in the Shadows is in the works, it seems Jemaine Clement has another big screen project in the works, and it’s one that will make his longtime fans very happy.

In a new interview, Clement revealed that he just recently sat down with Bret McKenzie to begin writing a Flight of the Conchords movie, featuring their comedic folk music duo of the same name, which has already had a hit HBO show that lasted two seasons back in 2007 and 2008. Read More »
