After the critical annihilation Sex and the City 2 got, most of us didn’t think we’d see a third film. And while, technically, we still haven’t, the trailer for I Don’t Know How She Does It, starring Sarah Jessica Parker as an overworked, professional New Yorker complete with self-aware voiceover and beautiful friends, sure feels like it. Based on a popular British book by Allison Pearson, the film is about a woman who has to balance her life in the financial fast lane along with her family and friends. Directed by Douglas McGrath (Emma) it also stars Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer, Olivia Munn, Christina Hendricks, Seth Meyers, Jane Curtin and Greg Kinnear. The Weinstein Company will release it September 16. Check out the trailer after the jump. Read More »

Most of us stop thinking about work as we enter the holiday season, but Hollywood actors and actresses are lining up their jobs for the new year. There is a whole bunch of casting news that’s recently been announced, much of it in the romantic comedy genre, and here’s the rundown.
Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks and G4’s Olivia Munn will join Kelsey Grammer and Pierce Brosnan in the comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It, which stars Sarah Jessica Parker as a woman juggling her work on Wall Street with a family life. Parker herself is also joining the huge ensemble for Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy New Year’s Eve while Halle Berry is in negotiations for a role too. 30 Rock award winner Alec Baldwin is the latest actor circling a spot in the Broadway adaptation Rock of Ages. Everyone’s favorite Viper pilot, Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff will star in Sexy Evil Genius, which is about a girl who brings all her exes to the same bar. Rosario Dawson and Lynn Collins are now part of the high school reunion film Ten Year with Chris Pine and Channing Tatum and Ed Burns joins Megan Fox and Jon Hamm in Jennifer Westfeldt’s romantic comedy Friends With Kids.
A lot to digest, we know. There’s so much more info after the jump that you’d be crazy not to click. Read More »

Update: Olivia Munn does not play Janet Van Dyne aka The Wasp in Iron Man 2.
Ever since G4’s Attack of the Show co-host and geek diva Olivia Munn was cast in Iron Man 2, geeks around the webosphere have been trying to figure out what role she might play in the upcoming sequel. Actress Kate Mara (We Are Marshall) also has a cameo in the film, which is said not to be long-term Stark girlfriend, Bethany Cabe, which also had fans talking. At first we just wrote Munn’s part off as a small cameo, but in the last few months some strange developments make us believe otherwise.
There have been a bunch of movie trailers to hit over the last 24 hours: Clash of the Titans, Kick-Ass, and now 20th Century Fox has released the first teaser trailer for the Action romantic comedy Date Night. The film stars Tina Fey and Steve Carell as Claire and Phil Foster, as a bored married couple’s attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous due to a case of mistaken identity.
The Fosters are a typical suburban couple whose lives – including their weekly date nights of dinner and a movie – have become routine. To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro where a case of mistaken identity turns their evening into the ultimate date night-gone-awry. But as Claire and Phil take their unexpected walk on the wild side, they begin to remember what made them so special together.
Judging from the trailer, this is just what we would expect from Night at the Museum/Pink Panther helmer Shawn Levy. A couple mild jokes, an obvious storyline and a flurry of cameos and small supporting performances from actors/actresses you know (like Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiig, and Ray Liotta). If you look closely near the end of the trailer, you might even see Olivia Munn, of G4 Attack of the Show fame. And what is up with Wahlberg’s Minority Report/Iron Man-style futuristic computer set-up? Seems a bit too much for this movie, doesn’t it?
Fox is betting on this film to be an early summer comedy, but it will face some heavy superhero competition, going head to head with The Losers, and the next week Kick-Ass and Machette. Watch the trailer after the jump, and leave your thoughts in the comments below.
Back in April, Attack of the Show co-host Olivia Munn revealed on Twitter that she has been cast in two upcoming movies: One is the upcoming Steve Carell/Tina Fey comedy Date Night, and the other is some project that she was working out for but wasn’t “legally” allowed to publicly discuss yet. It turns out that she has a role in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. No word on how large of a role she might play. I assume that she’ll probably be in one or two scenes, possibly as a television announcer. Munn said on Twitter that her role is “definitely” bigger than her one minute appearance in Rob Schneider’s Big Stan.
Update: Munn later commented on our story on her twitter account:
slashfilm took a guess at my role in iron man 2 and i am not playing a reporter. but that’s all i can say. :)
We’ve featured Munn previously on the site in one of Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer’s short films. Munn is also featured on the cover of the July/August issue of Playboy Magazine. You can watch Olivia unviel the cover on her show, Attack of the Show, embedded after the jump.
