Power Rangers Teaser Posters

Whether you like it or not, the release of the new Power Rangers movie is getting closer. We’re still waiting to get a teaser trailer for the adaptation of the imported live-action series that made waves in the 1990s and has seen over 20 different iterations since then, and now we have word that the first footage from the movie will debut at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, October 8th.

To ramp up the excitement leading up to the footage debut, a new batch of Power Rangers teaser posters have arrived, giving us a glimpse of each of the Zords, the colossal assault vehicles that can be called upon and piloted by each of the warriors. Check them out below. Read More »

The Martian photos

Just last month, the first images from Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi drama The Martian surfaced, showing off Matt Damon stranded on Mars. We’re not sure when the first trailer will pop up, but now we have another glimpse at the film as two more photos have surfaced, one with our first look at The Newsroom star Jeff Daniels in the film as well.

Robertson Scott

Briefly: Brad Bird‘s upcoming Disney film, Tomorrowland, is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2014. Written by Damon Lindelof, the family sci-fi fantasy features three lead characters: a teenage girl, a middle-aged inventor and a girl robot. We’ll keep the precise nature of their story quiet here, but you can get more details from a link below. As for casting, George Clooney is the inventor, Raffey Cassidy is the robot and now two actresses are up for the lead of the teenage girl.

They are Britt Robertson, from the upcoming Under the Dome and The Secret Circle, and Naomi Scott, star of the Disney Channel film Lemonade Mouth and Fox’s Terra Nova. They’re both doing full makeup tests in the upcoming weeks.

There’s no guarantee either actress will get the role, but depending on the tests, one of these two could be your star on December 12, 2014. Read more about the plot to Tomorrowland here. [The Hollywood Reporter]

From TV star to movie star and now moving into the producer role, Adam Scott is continuing his plan for world domination. He and his wife, Naomi Scott, have started a new production company called Gettin’ Rad Productions. For their first foray into feature films, they’ve purchased the rights to Chuck Klosterman‘s book Downtown OwlOren Uziel (Mortal Kombat: Rebirth) has been hired to adapt the story about several different characters who live in a fictional North Dakota town where pop culture doesn’t exist.

Fox has finally announced a premiere date for the Steven Spielberg-produced sci-fi television series Terra Nova. The new series will have a special two-night preview event on Monday, May 23rd 2011 and Tuesday, May 24th at 9:00pm on FOX. The show will then premiere in the fall. Fox has also released a ton of new photos, all of which can be seen after the jump.
