Of the three major superhero films opening this summer, Fox’s Fantastic Four is the most mysterious. We’ve yet to see a still or poster, let alone a full-fledged trailer. Happily, that starts to change today with the first official behind the scenes look at the movie.
Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell lead the superhero pic, which is directed by Josh Trank. Simon Kinberg and Jeremy Slater wrote the screenplay. Get your Fantastic Four behind the scenes peek after the jump. Read More »
Marvel Comics is having a little fun at the expense of the cast and crew of the new Fantastic Four movie. In the new issue of the current Punisher series, #12, there are frames of three Hollywood actors discussing a new movie by a director with the last name “Trang.” They look incredibly similar to Miles Teller, Jamie Bell and Kate Mara. Apparently their friend Michael, who plays a character named Johnny, is running late. And then their building explodes.
Yes, Marvel Comics has killed the cast of Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four movie. Check out the panels below. Read More »
A new entry into the Rocky series has finally begun moving forward. Creed, directed by and starring the Fruitvale Station team of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan, has been in-development for over a year. It’ll star Jordan as the grandson of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), the nemesis/friend of Rocky Balboa who died in Rocky IV. He’s an up and coming boxer and asks his dad’s old friend Rocky (Sylvester Stallone, reprising his iconic role) for help.
Now it seems like the film is aiming at a January start date and two champion boxers are about to sign on. Read more about the Rocky spin-off, Creed, below. Read More »
The Fantastic Four is finished at Marvel Comics. At least for a while. A new report reveals the company will do a a final story arc called “The End Is Fourever” in 2015, serving as the “closing act” of the long-running comic book series. This happens after rumors began to spread of Marvel shunning the superhero team, and months before a 20th Century Fox reboot is set to hit theaters.
Read about Fantastic Four being canceled, as well as some new quotes from star Michael B. Jordan about some of the costumes in the Josh Trank film, below. Read More »
Cool Posts From Around the Web:
For a massive superhero reboot, Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four had one of the quietest shoots in recent memory. Sure a few photos of the stars leaked here and there, and maybe even a glimpse of the Thing, but for the most part nothing has been spoiled by the press or paparazzi during filming. Which, these days, is a rarity.
So it’s exciting when one of the film’s stars, Kate Mara (who plays the Invisible Woman), jumps on Twitter not only to announce the film is finished, but post a photo of herself with her three co-stars: Mr. Fantastic played by Miles Teller, the Human Torch played by Michael B. Jordan and The Thing played by Jamie Bell.
They’re all in street clothes unfortunately, so no reveal of the Fantastic Four costumes just yet, but it’s a great shot none the less. Check out the Fantastic Four cast photo below. Read More »
Director Josh Trank and the Fantastic Four have been quietly filming their big Marvel movie in Louisiana for the past few months. I say “quietly” for two reasons. One, we haven’t seen a lot of set photos of the stars in costume or anything. And two, co-star Michael B. Jordan agrees. In a new interview with MTV, the actor talked about filming the movie as being in “our own world.” He also talked about how Trank is changing the movie on the fly and that it’s less about superheroes and more about people learning to live with their disabilities.
As for that quiet, it’s probably going to end next week. The new Entertainment Weekly strongly suggests the full Fantastic Four cast will be at Comic-Con. Below, read the Michael B Jordan Fantastic Four quotes. Read More »

There’s been some debate over whether or not Michael B. Jordan is the right guy to play Johnny Storm in Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four, as there always is whenever a high-profile superhero role gets cast. But one guy who’s wholeheartedly in Jordan’s corner is the former Johnny Storm himself, Chris Evans.
In a cute photo making the rounds today, the two Human Torches cozy up together with big smiles. And lest you think Evans is just faking it for the camera, he’s also gone on record expressing his excitement at seeing Jordan in his old role. Hit the jump to see the picture and read Evans’ comments.

The Human Torch is a young, cocky, and charismatic superhero who can turn his whole body into flames. Actor Michael B. Jordan is young and can play cocky and charismatic with the best of them. So why are some people so mad director Josh Trank cast him in the 2015 reboot of Fantastic Four? Simply put, in the comics the Human Torch is white and Michael B. Jordan is black. Some fans don’t want a black Human Torch.
Since the rumors of Jordan’s casting began, his race has been a major topic of discussion. While the actor has commented briefly in the past, that was before he’d officially been announced for the role. That announcement has now taken place and, below, you can watch and listen to him talking about the controversy. Read More »
