As you probably know by now, the catalyst for Captain America: Civil War is the introduction of the Sokovia Accords, which demand that The Avengers have some kind of government oversight by the United Nations after their heroic actions have resulted in dozens of deaths around the world.
Now a viral video has arrived in the form of a news broadcast featuring Christine Everhart. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because the character first appeared in Iron Man as a reporter trying to interview Tony Stark in Las Vegas. Leslie Bibb (Talladega Nights) played the character who also ended up in bed with the billionaire, playboy and philanthropist only to later have an awkward encounter with him in Iron Man 2.

While we wait to see what Disney does with its never-gonna-get-recast icon Indiana Jones, Napoleon Dynamite duo Jared and Jerusha Hess have mounted their own search for the Holy Grail. Don Verdean stars Sam Rockwell as a Biblical archaeologist who gets caught in the rivalry between two congregations led by Danny McBride and Will Forte. Needless to say, this is a much sillier quest than the one Indy went on in The Last Crusade.
Also starring are Jemaine Clement as his Holy Land associate Boaz, Amy Ryan as his assistant Carol, and Leslie Bibb as McBride’s wife. Watch the Don Verdean trailer after the jump. Read More »

Idris Elba was quite the big screen hero last year. He battled kaiju in Pacific Rim, defended Asgard in Thor: The Dark World, and inspired a nation in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. But he’s taking a villainous turn with his next film, No Good Deed.
Directed by Sam Miller (Elba’s Luther), the thriller stars Elba as escaped convict Colin. He winds up at the home of a stranger named Terri (Taraji P. Henson), pleading for help, but then terrorizes her family once she lets him in. Sort of like Labor Day, only twisted and violent instead of sensual and romantic. Watch the No Good Deed trailer after the jump.

R-rated jokes can be a good tool for a comedy filmmaker to have in their arsenal. There are some gags that simply don’t work when they’re toned down to satisfy the MPAA. But that doesn’t mean ruder, cruder, and lewder necessarily translates to funnier. A limp comedy is still a limp comedy, no matter how many bare butts, dick jokes, and blood splatters you toss in there.
Case in point: Last month’s green-band trailer for Hell Baby was pretty hit-or-miss, to put it generously, and I’m not sure that ratio’s much improved in this new red-band trailer. More boobs are on display, though, so there’s that. Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant direct, and Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb, Riki Lindhome, and Keegan-Michael Key star. Hit the jump to watch the NSFW video.

A hopeful, pregnant couple moving into a decrepit old house: that never turns out well in the movies. In Hell Baby, though, filmmakers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant try to have a little fun on the way to the inevitable doom that follows such a bad life choice.
Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb star as the married pair, who are expecting twins. They purchase a suspiciously cheap mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that it’s — surprise, surprise — haunted. The Vatican dispatches its crack exorcism team (played by Garant and Lennon) to help. Hilarity ostensibly ensues. Watch the first trailer after the jump.

The red-band trailer for Peter Farrelly‘s Movie 43 leaned hard on the shock factor of seeing big Hollywood stars revel in foul language and filthy jokes, but the poor green-band trailer is stuck trying to sell the exact same product by only hinting at what the NSFW version could actually show. Is Anna Faris asking Chris Pratt to take a dump on her still comedy gold when the word “poop” has to be substituted with a fart noise? Is Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts bullying their own kid still shocking when they have to keep their behavior G-rated?
Eh, truthfully, I think the answer is that none of this looked all that outrageous to begin with. But at least it’s not any less funny than it was before. Hit the jump to see Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Stephen Merchant, Emma Stone, Kristen Bell, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Duhamel, Terrence Howard, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Seann William Scott, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Bell, Richard Gere, and so, so, so many more celebs in the new SFW trailer.

Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb may seem like an unlikely couple, but they’ll be united in the fight against a demonic child in Hell Baby. Scripted and directed by Night at the Museum writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, the comedy centers around a pregnant woman and her husband (Bibb and Corddry) who move into a dilapidated haunted house in New Orleans. In an effort to keep from having a demonic baby, they call upon the Vatican’s crack exorcism team, played by Lennon and Garant. Bet that’ll go well. Production will begin in New Orleans next month. After the jump, Clark Duke becomes Adam Scott’s kid brother, and Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti pull Amy Landecker into their Christmas tree scheme.

Statistically speaking, flying is actually one of the safest ways to travel — you’re much, much more likely to die in a car accident, for example — but you wouldn’t know it from the number of movies that involve horrible things happening aboard an airplane. The latest of these is 7500, a paranormal thriller from The Grudge helmer Takashi Shimizu. Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Jerry Ferrara, Leslie Bibb, and Jamie Chung star as passengers and crew en route from Los Angeles to Tokyo when they begin to notice odd occurrences within the cabin. Watch the first teaser after the jump.
