The red-band trailer for Peter Farrelly‘s Movie 43 leaned hard on the shock factor of seeing big Hollywood stars revel in foul language and filthy jokes, but the poor green-band trailer is stuck trying to sell the exact same product by only hinting at what the NSFW version could actually show. Is Anna Faris asking Chris Pratt to take a dump on her still comedy gold when the word “poop” has to be substituted with a fart noise? Is Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts bullying their own kid still shocking when they have to keep their behavior G-rated?
Eh, truthfully, I think the answer is that none of this looked all that outrageous to begin with. But at least it’s not any less funny than it was before. Hit the jump to see Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Stephen Merchant, Emma Stone, Kristen Bell, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Duhamel, Terrence Howard, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Seann William Scott, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Bell, Richard Gere, and so, so, so many more celebs in the new SFW trailer.

Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb may seem like an unlikely couple, but they’ll be united in the fight against a demonic child in Hell Baby. Scripted and directed by Night at the Museum writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, the comedy centers around a pregnant woman and her husband (Bibb and Corddry) who move into a dilapidated haunted house in New Orleans. In an effort to keep from having a demonic baby, they call upon the Vatican’s crack exorcism team, played by Lennon and Garant. Bet that’ll go well. Production will begin in New Orleans next month. [Variety]
After the jump, Clark Duke becomes Adam Scott’s kid brother, and Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti pull Amy Landecker into their Christmas tree scheme.

Statistically speaking, flying is actually one of the safest ways to travel — you’re much, much more likely to die in a car accident, for example — but you wouldn’t know it from the number of movies that involve horrible things happening aboard an airplane. The latest of these is 7500, a paranormal thriller from The Grudge helmer Takashi Shimizu. Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Jerry Ferrara, Leslie Bibb, and Jamie Chung star as passengers and crew en route from Los Angeles to Tokyo when they begin to notice odd occurrences within the cabin. Watch the first teaser after the jump.

Steve Carell‘s been doing quite well for himself in his post-Office career. He’s already got several films lined up for the next couple of years, including Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher and the magician comedy Burt Wonderstone. Now the latest addition to his slate is Conviction, a heist film which he’ll produce and star in. Jonathan Herman‘s Black List script centers around a convicted bank robber who’s forced by the FBI to entrap his former protege.
Which sounds good, except that while Herman’s original screenplay had a tone similar to Heat, it’s now being reworked as an action comedy in the vein of 48 Hours or Ocean’s Eleven. That seems like a pretty major shift, though without having read the script I can’t say for certain whether it’s a terrible idea. The project has yet to confirm a writer to draft a new version of the script. [Deadline]
After the jump, Ben Kingsley, Julian Sands, and Jena Malone join a classic tale with a zeitgeisty twist, while Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten, and Amy Smart board a flight with some paranormal issues.

I’m not sure who decreed that 2011 be the year of the R-rated-comedy-starring-Jason-Sudeikis, but here we are with a trailer for the third such project this year. A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy stars the SNL vet as Eric, a frat boy-ish 30something who lives to throw over-the-top parties at his dad’s Hamptons home. When Eric’s dad decides to sell the house, Eric decides he has to do something truly special for his last big blowout. (You can probably guess from the title what theme he eventually settles on.)
Leslie Bibb, Lake Bell, Michelle Borth, Nick Kroll, Tyler Labine, Angela Sarafyan, Lindsay Sloane, Martin Starr, Lucy Punch, and Will Forte co-star. Watch the trailer after the jump.

As Cannes rolls along there are a lot of new images and trailers for great, or at least interesting films. And then there’s this one. Zookeeper is the movie in which Kevin James thinks about quitting the job he loves (he’s a zookeeper, duh) so that Leslie Bibb will like him. But his animal charges can talk, as it turns out, and they teach him all about how to woo women. He probably ends up with Rosario Dawson, who has been working alongside him all this time. And in return, he takes a gorilla to TGI Fridays. This is all in the trailer, which is after the break. Read More »
