Community‘s hiatus starts now, but Greendale’s coolest study group isn’t about to go quietly. Also, people who’ve previously created things we like are creating other things we also hope to like. After the jump:

Ken Jeong has built up a respectable career as a supporting actor, most notably on NBC’s Community and the Hangover films, but for his next movie role he’ll be moving a little closer to the spotlight. Jeong is set to star in and produce The Chung Factor, which landed on the 2005 Black List back when it was titled The Ex-Factor. Andy Selsor‘s screenplay revolves around a nice guy who falls in love with a woman, but begins to worry he’ll screw things up and employs an “offbeat” relationship coach (Jeong). Unfortunately, said coach turns out to be the woman’s ex, who wants to win her back and is actively trying to ruin the nice guy’s chances.
It’s great to see the talented and funny Jeong nabbing some bigger parts, but I kind of wish he’d chosen to play the romantic lead. The villain here sounds like he fits a little too comfortably into Jeong’s repertoire of mean weirdos — it would’ve been nice to see him stretch a bit more. [The Wrap]
After the jump, Daenerys Targaryen considers joining Éomer and Prince Caspian as they steal cars in France, while Katheryn Winnick nabs a starring role opposite America’s Trainwreck Charlie Sheen.

[The following contains spoilers for the first four episodes of Season 3 of Community.]
Every year, I eagerly anticipate any film or TV series that will engage me in the trials of its characters, and encourage me to consider how its using those trials to communicate something perceptive, challenging or entertaining about the world around us. Community, alongside FX’s Louie, is a rare example of a comedy show that succeeds at doing just that.
In under 22 minutes.
Arrested Development may have thrown down the gauntlet for most intricately layered TV sitcom, but Community has picked that gauntlet up and is running wild with it. I already feel comfortable proclaiming this week’s episode, “Remedial Chaos Theory”, to be the absolute best episode of Community thus far. Yes, better than the Goodfellas tribute “Contemporary American Poultry”. Yes, better than the zombie halloween episode “Epidemiology”. Yes, better even than the everyone’s favorite action parody, “Modern Warfare”.
High praise, no doubt. But what else is one to do when confronted with one of the best half hours of television in the history of the medium? Read More »
Aziz Ansari, Emma Stone, Andy Samberg, Ed Helms, Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Jamie King and Samuel L. Jackson are all Star Wars fans just like us. Unlike us, they’re all big stars, some of whom are even part of the Star Wars universe itself. They also all appear in a brand new video to help promote a bunch of charitable ventures between Lucasfilm and Stand Up To Cancer. Fans can buy t-shirts, bid on super rare Star Wars collectibles and more with proceeds going to the charity.
Find all the appropriate links as well as the video – which is basically the above stars doing a comedic reenactment of the original trilogy in 3 minutes – after the jump. Read More »

Sad as I am to see summer go, there is something I’m really looking forward to about the coming months, and that is the advent of the television’s regular season. After a long summer away from my imaginary friends in Pawnee, Greendale, and Lima, I’m eager to check back in and see what the new premieres have to offer. Hit the jump to see:
- The beginnings of a triple-Tammy drink-off in a preview for Parks & Recreation Season 4
- Greendale Community College literally dancing for joy in the promo for Community Season 3
- Those crazy New Directions kids up to their usual tricks again in a spot for Glee Season 3

As Cannes rolls along there are a lot of new images and trailers for great, or at least interesting films. And then there’s this one. Zookeeper is the movie in which Kevin James thinks about quitting the job he loves (he’s a zookeeper, duh) so that Leslie Bibb will like him. But his animal charges can talk, as it turns out, and they teach him all about how to woo women. He probably ends up with Rosario Dawson, who has been working alongside him all this time. And in return, he takes a gorilla to TGI Fridays. This is all in the trailer, which is after the break. Read More »

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
With the approaching release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, images from the film are starting to get out into the wild. It seems like there are certain requirements for any Transformers stills that don’t feature robots: they’ve got to have explosions, Shia LaBeouf running, or characters appearing to cautiously move through a location. And now we’ve got an image to cover each one of those bases for the third film. Check ‘em out after the break. And, sorry, no robots. Read More »
