legion promos

Legion is a new show from FX that features ties to the X-Men universe, but more importantly, it’s the latest show from Fargo creator, Noah Hawley. The series stars Dan Stevens (The Guest) as David Haller, son of Professor Charles Xavier in the comics. Whether the series spends much time on their connection, we’ll have to wait and see, but Hawley has said before it’ll likely be acknowledged. Based on the footage we’ve seen so far, though, this series doesn’t need any obvious connections to the X-Men universe to get us interested.

Below, watch the Legion promos.

what we do in the shadows sequel

At some point, we’re just going to have to rebrand this whole /Film thing as Taika Waititi fan site. We haven’t been shy about out love for What We Do in the Shadows and we’ve sunk our teeth into every morsel of Thor: Ragnarok news that has come our way. We even just ran a positive review of his new movie, Hunt For the Wilderpeople, which just played at the Sundance Film Festival. It’s safe to say that he’s one of our current favorite directors.

the BFG poster

Only fools don’t eagerly anticipate Steven Spielberg movies and only a total cynic wouldn’t want to see one of the greatest filmmakers of all time adapt the work of the great Roald Dahl. So while it’s currently flying a bit under the radar, you should probably start looking forward to the arrival of The BFG, Spielberg’s first collaboration with Disney and his first live action family adventure movie since 1991’s Hook.

A new poster for The BFG has arrived and it’s lovely, teasing colorful imagery, a grand sense of scale, and name-dropping a Spielberg masterpiece that has more than once connection to this new movie.

What We Do in the Shadows trailer

Jemaine Clement and his Eagle Vs. Shark and occasional Flight of the Conchords director Taika Waititi have teamed to produce one of the year’s funniest films: What We Do in the Shadows. The comedy follows a group of vampires who live together in a New Zealand flat — it’s more or less like the collision of different vampire legends and concepts in a Real World-like context. Oh, and with conflict with a pack of werewolves to spice things up. Watch the first What We Do in the Shadows trailer below.
