With just one month left before the Harry Potter film series ends for good, it feels like we’re getting a some new bit of promotional material practically every day. At this point, I’ve lost count of just how many posters we’ve already seen for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. But as long as they look this fantastic, I’m not complaining. In the days since we last showed you the last batch of posters, featuring the heroes and villains looking dirty and bloodied, a handful of new posters have been released. Hit the jump to see the forces of good, an army of evil, and a huge-ass dragon.

Last week, we showed you two new posters for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 — one featuring a roughed-up Harry and another showing a concerned-looking Hermione. Since then, Warner Bros. has released five more character posters, for Ron (Rupert Grint), Neville (Matthew Lewis), Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), Draco (Tom Felton) and Snape (Alan Rickman). Check out the images after the jump.

Yesterday we saw a new poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 that featured a shellshocked-looking Harry; today we’ve got the complement in a new character poster for Hermione. Additionally, there is a pretty good poster for the action movie Colombiana in which Zoe Saldana plays a character who looks a bit like Quentin Tarantino’s O-Ren Ishii filtered through the sensibilities of Luc Besson. You can see the trailer here, and the poster is after the break. Read More »

The two highlights of Warner Bros’ big presentation at CinemaCon was seeing 10-minutes of footage from Green Lantern and an extended movie trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Read my thoughts on both of these, after the jump.

Briefly: Sure, the final Harry Potter film is basically done, but there are still a few secrets to be revealed. (Just as there were with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I.) One of the minor casting bits that had previously been unreported or had escaped notice is that Kelly MacDonald will be playing The Gray Lady, aka the Ghost of Ravenclaw.

The actress made her screen debut in Trainspotting and has worked in TV and features intermittently over the years (notably appearing in Choke, the original State of Play and as Josh Brolin’s wife in No Country For Old Men) and has lately been gaining a new following thanks to her work on Boardwalk Empire. I can’t weigh in on how well suited she is for the part, but given that the Potter films have been generally quite well cast I’m not at all concerned. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 opens on July 15, 2011. [Vanity Fair]
