Darren Lynn Bousman‘s brutally violent re-imagining of a Troma film of the same name, Mother’s Day, was originally scheduled for released on April 1. Suffice to say, that won’t be happening as we’ve yet to see an official trailer, poster, or anything for the horror film starring Rebecca De Mornay, Jaime King and Shawn Ashmore. It played at Fantastic Fest 2010, was picked up for distribution by a small company called Gigapix Studios (which promised Bousman over 1,000 theaters for its release) and then vanished off the face of the earth. Bousman has since went on to shoot and sell a whole other movie, 11-11-11, while Mother’s Day is gearing up for release, both theatrically and on DVD, in other markets. But what about North America? ‘Mother’s Day’ Trailer
