Angry Birds movie cast

Much as an infuriated avian might send its own body crashing into a structure to get to some evil swine, Sony is throwing a very funny voice cast at its Angry Birds movie to win over the skeptics.

Jason Sudeikis has just been announced for the lead part of Red, with Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, and Peter Dinklage all set for co-starring roles. And those are just the major players — there about ten more notable names in smaller roles as well. Get details on the Angry Birds movie cast, and see the first photo, after the jump.

James Franco in The Sound and the Fury

If the only thing you knew about The Sound and the Fury was its cast list, you might assume it was a comedy. After all, the last time James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Danny McBride were seen onscreen together, they were trading dick jokes while navigating the apocalypse; the time before that, they were ducking drug lords while stoned out of their minds.

But no — The Sound and the Fury is a deadly serious adaptation of the classic novel by William Faulkner, which Franco himself directed. Needless to say, it shines quite a different light on the normally hilarious trio. Hit the jump for your first look at the Sound and the Fury movie images.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg

These days, everything Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg touches turns to gold. This is the End and Neighbors were both massive hits and we’ll see a trailer for The Interview in a week or two. The other film they’re working on is a much bigger gamble though. It’s an R-rated animated film, a genre that rarely gets a mainstream release. However, Sony Pictures is betting big on the duo as they’ve just given the film, Sausage Party, a June 3, 2016 release date.

In addition to the release date, Paul Rudd, Danny McBride and Workaholics star Anders Holm have joined the already impressive voice cast which includes Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Kirsten Wiig, Edward Norton and Nick Kroll. Read More »

Danny McBride Eastbound

Danny McBride was destined to be a star before HBO’s Eastbound and Down, but the show really shot him into the stratosphere. So it’s no surprise the actor is returning to HBO for a brand new series. This Is The End

Of all the reasons to love This Is the End, the amazing cast is by far the best. As hilarious as Seth Rogen (who also co-directed with Evan Goldberg), Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson are individually, they’re even better together. The gang has been tight for years, and it shows in every perfectly silly riff.

We can only assume that that set must have been a hoot, what with all of these comedians trying to outdo each other. Now a gag reel from the production only lends credence to that theory. Hit the jump to see the guys getting even goofier on the set than they do in the final film.

Danny McBride Eastbound Down 4

Robots, water slides, girls dancing as Santa Claus, machine guns, roller skating, the fourth season of Eastbound and Down has it all.
