The Reason Why ‘G.I. Joe 3’ Is Delayed

G.I. Joe 3 Delayed - Dwayne Johnson

It’s been a long time since we heard anything about G.I. Joe 3. The last development on the sequel had up and coming writer Aaron Berg brought on board as a writer, and before that D.J. Caruso was hired to be at the helm of the movie instead of G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu. We’re not sure if either of those two talents are still involved with the project, but it doesn’t sound like G.I. Joe 3 is going to happen anytime soon thanks to the busy schedule of Dwayne Johnson.

Magnificent Seven Trailer

Even though the blockbuster summer will be over in just a few weeks, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of excitement yet to come this fall. In fact, the arrival of the forthcoming remake of The Magnificent Seven looks just as good if not better than some of the best releases this summer has seen.

Denzel Washington rounds up Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Byung-Hun Lee, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Martin Sensmeier to help save a small town from a ruthless industrialist. In the new Magnificent Seven trailer, the whole crew gets a roll call with plenty of new footage to be glimpsed from the western action remake. Plus, there’s also an international trailer with a completely different cut that you can check out as well. Read More »

Denzel Washington;Chris Pratt

Yesterday brought us our first look at Antoine Fuqua‘s The Magnificent Seven in the form of some photos, and today the very first trailer has ridden into town. Denzel Washington leads the Western as Sam Chisholm, a gunslinger hired to protect a small town from a ruthless industrialist (Peter Sarsgaard). He rounds up a group of six other outlaws, played by Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Byung-Hun Lee, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Martin Sensmeier.

The Magnificent Seven is, of course, a remake of John Sturges’ 1960 classic, which was itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai. So how do the likes of Washington, Pratt, and Hawke stack up against the original all-star cast that included Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson? Watch the Magnificent Seven trailer after the jump.

Terminator Genisys

Five character posters for Alan Taylor‘s Terminator Genisys have just hit the web and they are so metal. Not “metal” in that rocking, awesome way though. I mean literally. Four of the five feature either a terminator, or a piece of a terminator, suggesting the July 1 release is going to be very, very heavy on the metal-to-metal action. Plus, we get to learn the name of the next evolution of Terminator tech. There was the T-800, the T-1000, everyone forgets about the T-X, but now we have the T-3000. Check out all the Terminator Genisys cast character posters below. Read More »

Jason Momoa Joins Magnificent Seven

Ever since Training Day director Antoine Fuqua was confirmed to direct Denzel Washington in a remake of The Magnificent Seven at MGM, we’ve seen an impressive cast assembling as the titular band of gunslingers. Chris Pratt and Training Day co-star Ethan Hawke are just a couple of the talents on board, and now the cast has gotten even bigger as Game of Thrones star and DC Comics’ future cinematic Aquaman Jason Momoa joins Magnificent Seven. Rush Hour 4 Face Off 2

Recently, I was walking on Hollywood Blvd. and saw the above billboard above the street. It was obviously some kind of joke, but there was no hint at the punchline. We know Brett Ratner has been thinking about Rush Hour 4 for a few years, but not with Sean Combs and Byung-Hun Lee. And what’s the connection to Face/Off? Could this be an ad? A short film? Turns out, it’s a Funny or Die skit.

In Rush Hour 4 Face/Off 2, Combs and Lee are in the Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan roles, but that’s not really the joke. It’s in lots of weird references to Face/Off where this video finds its humor. This is a  very odd video. Check it out below. Read More »
