In addition, they’ve also included plenty of threads and set-up for future movies coming down the road. This may have been done a little too much in Age of Ultron, and now we have a video that runs through many of those Avengers Age of Ultron easter eggs, including some you might have missed.

Shortly after Avengers: Age of Ultron hit theaters, director Joss Whedon quit Twitter. He didn’t give an official explanation at the time, which only opened the door to speculation. One especially popular theory was that Whedon was driven off by angry feminists, who’d taken issue with his portrayal of Black Widow.

But Whedon has finally spoken up to set the record straight, declaring that explanation to be “horseshit.” Instead, he offers a much less exciting justification for his decision. Read the Joss Whedon Twitter exit comments after the jump.  Read More »

Cool Posts From Around the Web:

Avengers Age of Ultron Thor Hemsworth

One of the weirder digressions in Avengers: Age of Ultron has Thor seeking answers to questions that crop up in a nightmare sequence. It feels tacked on, almost as if it were part of a much longer storyline that was whittled down into near-incoherence. As it turns out, that’s exactly what it is.

Director Joss Whedon reveals what we’re missing in the final cut of the movie, and with that added context, it makes much more sense. So why didn’t they excise it completely? Whedon explains that, too. Read about the Avengers Age of Ultron Thor subplot after the jump, with spoilers for Age of Ultron as part of the story.  Read More »

Kevin Feige Interview

By now, odds are you’re quite familiar with Kevin Feige. He’s the president of Marvel Studios and the man whose primary job is to keep the Marvel Cinematic Universe on track. Rumor says he has a bulletin board in his office with plans for Marvel movies spanning into the next decade. If anyone knows how these films connect, it’s him, because it’s his job to figure it all out and make the movies happen.

Feige’s latest film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, is the biggest Marvel movie yet. It’s a feat of storytelling and action that probably would’ve seemed impossible almost 10 years ago when Marvel Studios started to come together. Things will only get bigger from here, with films plotted through 2019, including two more Avengers movies, a Spider-Man movie, and new characters such as Captain Marvel, Black Panther, the Inhumans, Doctor Strange and Ant-Man coming to movie screens. There’s also the matter of a Civil War next year.

So Kevin Feige is important, but not too important to sit down with /Film to talk about Age of Ultron. Some of what’s covered in this interview you’ve already read (the importance of Ant-Man, planning for Spider-Man, and the end credits sequence) but there’s a lot more here. Is what happened to one character permanent? How important are the dream sequences? And what did Feige think of DC’s announcement? Below, read our full Kevin Feige Interview for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Read More »

Spider-man Avengers photoshop: Spiderman in Avengers Age of Ultron

Early on, there was speculation that Spider-Man could appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now that Avengers: Age of Ultron is actually in theaters, of course, we know that’s not the case. Find out after the jump.  Read More »
