Person to Person Trailer

Countless films have tried to capture the aimless, buoyant spirit of New York City — and now we have another to add to the list.

Person to Person is an indie film from rising director Dustin Guy Defa that follows an ensemble cast — including the It Boy of indie dramedies, Michael Cera — of disparate characters as they grapple with various obstacles. And because this is an indie film, the film takes place over the course of one day.

Broad City Season 4 Trailer

One of the best comedy series on TV right now is undoubtedly Broad City. What first felt like the female answer to Workaholics has become the shining beacon in Comedy Central’s current line-up of shows as Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have taken New York City by storm across three seasons. Now the fourth season is coming later this year, and the first trailer gives us a taste of what’s in store, including plenty of risque shenanigans, some fantastic new guest stars, and at least one episode where they leave New York City for a warmer climate.

The Lego Ninjago Movie trailer

It took Warner Bros. a while to get out a follow-up to 2014’s The Lego Movie, but now we’re getting two of them in one year. This weekend marks the debut of The Lego Batman Movie, featuring the return of the tiny plastic minifig version of the Dark Knight. Then this fall we’re getting The Lego Ninjago Movie, centered around an entirely new cast of characters based on a distinct Lego toyline.

Dave Franco voices Lloyd, a young secret ninja who’s friends with a bunch of other young secret ninjas. When his dad, the evil lord Garmadon (Justin Theroux) poses a threat, Lloyd and his friends must take him down with the guidance of their mentor, Master Wu (Jackie Chan). Olivia Munn plays Lloyd’s mom Koko, and Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña, and Zach Woods round out the core cast as Lloyd’s buddies. Click through to watch the first The Lego Ninjago Movie trailer. The LEGO Ninjago Movie

This week brings The LEGO Batman Movie to theaters, but it’s not the only spin-off from The LEGO Movie we can look forward to before The LEGO Movie Sequel arrives in 2019 (which just got a new director). There’s also The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and our first look at the animated martial arts flick has just arrived.

The first LEGO Ninjago Movie photos have just arrived, showing off the team of teenage ninja heroes voiced by Dave Franco, Michael Pena, Zach Woods, Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani and Abbi Jacobson. We also get a first look at the villain voiced by Justin Theroux, and a new look at the master voiced by Jackie Chan. Check out The LEGO Ninjago Movie photos after the jump.

UPDATE: We have a LEGO Ninjago Movie trailer tease which you can also watch below.  Read More »

Lego Ninjago short clip

Jackie Chan has shown off a lot of impressive moves and battled a lot of formidable foes over the course of his career. But in the first clip from The Master: A Lego Ninjago Short, his tiny plastic counterpart meets his match… in the form of an annoying little chicken voiced by Abbi Jacobson.

The short film, which premieres in front of Warner Animation Group’s Storks later this fall, looks plenty fun in its own right. But it also represents our best look yet at The Lego Ninjago Movie, the Lego Movie spinoff featuring Chan as a kung fu master who must lead his mentees against the evil warlord Garmadon. Justin Theroux narrates The Master, although you won’t hear him in this particular scene. Watch the Lego Ninjago short clip below.  Read More »

Ninjago

Following the smashing success of 2014’s The Lego Movie, Warner Bros. has been building up its Lego movie franchise brick by brick. Next up will be The Lego Batman Movie, out in February, but after that comes Ninjago. That one will be based on Lego’s Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu line of toys, which already has its own video game and TV series. Development has been pretty quiet so far, but expect to hear more and more as its 2017 release date inches closer.

Today, for example, we have the Ninjago voice cast list to share with you. And it’s good news if you like to laugh. Jackie Chan will lead as Master Wu, and the others include two Silicon Valley stars, one-half of the Broad City duo, a Saturday Night Live alum, and more.  Read More »

Hillary Clinton Broad City (header)

Broad City has had some pretty fantastic guest stars over the past two seasons. Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen, Amy Ryan, Patricia Clarkson… the list goes on and on. But Season 3 will feature the show’s most famous guest star yet.

Hillary Clinton is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the Comedy Central series, and the potential 2016 presidential nominee has just announced the news in a most Broad City-like way. See a behind-the-scenes image from the Hillary Clinton Broad City episode after the jump.  Read More »

Female Ocean's Eleven Cast

Just last week, we learned that there was a female Ocean’s Eleven in development with Sandra Bullock taking the lead role akin to George Clooney‘s Danny Ocean. There are even rumblings that the story might actually take place in the same universe as the original heist trilogy from Steven Soderbergh, with Clooney potentially making a cameo as Ocean. But the big question is, who will surround Bullock as the rest of the heist crew?

We decided to put together a prospective cast who would be perfect to team up with Sandra Bullock for some kind of heist. Obviously the characters won’t be exactly the same as they are in Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven, but since we’re just having fun assembling a dream cast, we’ve stuck to the characters pretty closely to put this list together for the female Ocean’s Eleven cast.
