'Tag' Clip And Featurette Show The Creative, Invasive Ways Friends Try To Win The Game

Don't be surprised if you see adults regressing back to their childhood after they see this summer's comedy Tag.

The feature directorial debut from television and stand-up special director Jeff Tomsic follows Ed Helms, Hannibal Buress, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner and Jake Johnson as a group of five friends who have been playing a game of tag intermittently for around 30 years. Based on a surprisingly true story, the film brings a mix of stylized action and comedy together for a movie that could be the sleeper hit of the summer.

Tag Featurette

If you haven't yet heard about Tag, this featurette with interviews with the aforementioned stars of the movie, as well as Annabelle Wallis, Leslie Bibb, Isla Fisher and Rashida Jones should lay out the basics for you. Plus, you get a glimpse behind the scenes of production to see B-roll of scenes that haven't been shown in trailers yet.

Meanwhile, Machinima debuted an exclusive clip (don't worry, it's cued to the clip so you don't have to watch the whole video) from the movie featuring Hannibal Buress have a very intimate conversation with his therapist, only to be interrupted by his friends. It's just a taste of how far these friends will to make someone else "it." Surely the movie will have many more embarrassing interruptions and chases, all in the name of friendship.

If this movie is a hit, and something tells me it will be, I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of adults try to replicate this kind of grown up tomfoolery. At the very least, I can see games of tag like this playing out for the first few weeks after the movie comes out, but I can't imagine they'll last anywhere near as long as the game that inspired this movie.

For one month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they've been playing since the first grade—risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take each other down with the battle cry: "You're It!" This year, the game coincides with the wedding of their only undefeated player, which should finally make him an easy target. But he knows they're coming...and he's ready. Based on a true story, the New Line Cinema comedy "Tag" shows how far some guys will go to be the last man standing.

Tag is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
