Superhero Bits: Man of Steel, Batman Arkham City, Thor, Ghost Rider, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in comic book stores with this ongoing series that “offers a brand-new take on the original series.” Read the full press release at Toy News International.

Here’s a series of prints called “Superhero Dinosaurs” by David Restro. He’s got The Avengersaurus, X-Dinos and general superhero dinosaurs. Very cool stuff. You can see them all in more detail at this site, thanks to Posters and Prints.

This is a little more gossipy than usual but Comic Book Movie found an article on Cleveland.com that details what Scarlet Johansson and Chris Evans were doing when not shooting The Avengers. Hint: Drinks and karaoke.

Comic Book Movie has a MASSIVE set report from Plano, Il which is standing in for Smallville in Man of Steel. In addition to a ton of detailed photos from around town, like the one above, the scooper spoke to a ton of people and go information what’s being filmed, where and why. Here’s a taste. Downtown Smallville WILL be in the heat of battle! Crews will be shooting a scene during the early part of the week of August 22-29, 2011 where they will be blowing up a 7-11/gas station. They will also be setting up a “jet fighter” and a military helicopter in the downtown streets of “Smallville”, where supposedly they both crash.

Superhero Hype got some brand new photos sent in of the alien ship found on the Cleveland set of The Avengers.
