Did Steve Jobs Test The iPad In Pixar's 'The Incredibles'?

Chris Noessel, an interaction designer and Nathan Shedroff, program chair of the MBA in Design Strategy at the California College of the arts, believe that Steve Jobs may have used the Brad Bird's Pixar movie The Incredibles to test the concept of a tablet computer in front of movie audiences.

The movie was released in 2004, six years before the announcement of the iPad, three years prior to the iPhone.

Noessel and Shedroff made the claim at Macworld (found via Cultofmac), while on a panel to promote their forthcoming book, "Make It So – Learning from SciFi interfaces." Noessel and Shedroff aren't the first to notice the possibility. The idea is that "users may already be predisposed to certain interface solutions solely based on what they've seen in the media."

A sound theory... but somehow I doubt Jobs would go so far to inject an idea into his companies' latest animated feature. What do you think?
