Briefly: First the Bond movies, then the Marvel movies and now Star Trek. While North America generally gets Hollywood films before the rest of the world, many major blockbusters have begun opening earlier in the United Kingdom and the latest is Star Trek Into Darkness. J.J. Abrams‘ highly anticipated sequel opens May 9 in the UK, eight days before its May 17 North America release date and six before its IMAX release date. [Deadline]
