Spider-Man's Web-Shooters Confirmed

After the first image of Andrew Garfield in his Spider-Man suit hit the web, fans noticed that the inside of Spidey's wrists appear to feature some kind of metal device, possibly web-shooters.

In the original comic books, Peter Parker's ability to shoot webs wasn't an organic product of the spider bite that gave him powers. It was a technological creation of his own invention, web-shooters, little pads in his palms with web fluid canisters strapped to his wrists. In the Spider-Man movie trilogy, Sam Raimi turned the web-shooters into an organic ability created by the spider-bite. So are they web-shooters? The answer is yes!

MTV asked Emma Stone at the Golden Globes, and the Spider-Man co-star confirmed that the silver discs are "a device." She would not say more however, as it seems Sony and Marvel have the information gate shut. When asked whether her character, Gwen Stacy, would get in onthe action in the film, Stone just responded, "You're just going to have to wait and see." I'm guessing the answer is yes.
