Showtime Stand Alone Streaming Service Undercuts HBO Now

Showtime has finally announced their stand alone streaming service which allow viewers to enjoy every episode of every season of the pay cabler's original series and select movies without a cable subscription. The Showtime streaming service will undercut HBO's streaming service HBO Now. Fine out the details, after the jump.

Showtime's Streaming Service

Showtime's Streaming Service which will just be called "Showtime" will only cost consumers $10.99 per month. HBO charges $14.99 a month for their HBO Now stand alone streaming service, which arguably offers more in demand content (Game of Thrones and HBO's extensive library of shows and movies). The Showtime streaming service will be available using any Apple device with additional platforms and providers to be announced at a later date.

Subscribers will have unlimited on demand access to every season of award-winning SHOWTIME original series, and hundreds of hours of movies, documentary and sports programming, as well as the live broadcast of the east and west coast feeds of SHOWTIME. Showtime will offer a 30-day free trial to new customers who sign up through Apple in July. Apple users simply need to go to the SHOWTIME app on their device to sign up and create a SHOWTIME account.
