Sequel Bits: 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,' 'The Hangover Part III,' '56 Up'

Three incredibly different sequels have news updates in this edition of Sequel Bits. After the jump, read about:

  • Michael Apted's 56 Up will hit theaters January 4.
  • The Hangover Part III has turned Nogales, Arizona into Tijuana, Mexico.
  • Ticket sales for The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 are outpacing the last film, plus a new poster.
  • With 56 Up, the latest installment in Michael Apted's almost unbelievable documentary series, about to hit, the project will be eight films deep. The series, which has now been going on for just under half a century, has checked in with a group of same age people every seven years of their life to see how things have changed. Many of the films are currently on Netflix Instant if you haven't seen them. According to Variety, this latest version will be released theatrically January 4 at the IFC Center in New York.

The crew for The Hangover Part III has been busy turning the town of Nogales, Arizona into Tijuana, Mexico for the film planned for release on Memorial Day 2013. The photo below is from Before the Trailer, and On Location Vacations has more.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II won't be released until November 16 but it's already a hit. Deadline reports ticket sales for the film are outpacing the last film, Breaking Dawn Part I. This episode has already grossed $1.17 million. That said, most of the ticket sales aren't just for the final film, but the full five film marathon that will run in some theaters leading up to the release of Part II.

Also, the official Twilight Facebook revealed this new and final poster for the film. The final Twilight poster. It's almost too much to take.
