Next month, we’ll see food get mercilessly devoured in the dark, animated comedy Sausage Party. In the film from Seth Rogen & Even Goldberg, the sentient food from the grocery store wants nothing more to be taken home by the people shopping around, at least until they learn what really happens when they arrive at their new home. Now a new Sausage Party PSA features Seth Rogen’s sausage character Frank begging you to destroy your own barbecue for the sake of all his friends.
There’s not much in the vein of new footage, but it’s definitely amusing to hear a little sausage sound so serious and somber about this issues that’s especially plaguing food all over the United States today. Of course, his beckoning is going to go in one ear and out the other today, because everyone will be eating their weight in burgers, hot dogs, steaks, and all the usual Independence Day tastiness. You’ll probably feel bad enough after binge eating today anyway.
Life is good for all the food items that occupy the shelves at the local supermarket. Frank (Seth Rogen) the sausage, Brenda (Kristen Wiig) the hot dog bun, Teresa Taco (Salma Hayek) and Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton) can’t wait to go home with a happy customer. Soon, their world comes crashing down as poor Frank learns the horrifying truth that he will eventually become a meal. After warning his pals about their similar fate, the panicked perishables devise a plan to escape from their human enemies.
Sausage Party arrives on August 12.Cool Posts From Around the Web:
