Raising Arizona Print

Even though we’re big fans of all the collectible artwork that Mondo throws out there for us to plaster our walls with, we also love what comes out of Gallery 1988. Personally, I have several pieces from their Ghostbusters 30th anniversary exhibition on my wayy, and I’m always on the lookout for their next great print series. And a very interesting new one has just been revealed.

Gallery 1988 has announced a new series called Friends of the Gallery, pairing up what they call some of their “most creative gallery buyers” with some of their favorite gallery artists to collaborate on a special limited edition piece of work. The first in this series comes by way of Robot Chicken creator and actor Seth Green teaming up with artist Joshua Budich, and they’ve decided to bring a Raising Arizona print to the table. Check it out!

Here’s the Raising Arizona print from Gallery 1988:

For the Friends of the Gallery series, the idea is to have a buyer and an artist focus on “a point of influence they wished they saw more of at G1988.” That means you probably won’t see any prints in this series from some of the more popular movies the gallery has tackled in the past, but rather titles that don’t often have any tribute artwork done in their honor.

Seth Green has been a big Gallery 1988 supporter for awhile, and Raising Arizona is one of his favorite movies, so there you have it. If the Coen Brothers comedy happens to be one of your favorites as well, you can purchase the 5-color screen print right now through the Gallery 1988 Tumblr right here. The 24×36 print is limited to an edition of 100 and will cost you $40, so act fast before the supply runs out.

I can’t wait to see what other pieces come out of the Friends of the Gallery series. If I were given the chance to have a piece created for this series, I’d love to see a cool Rain Man print.
