Netflix has announced that they have entered into an agreement with Starz Entertainment to make movies from Starz available to be streamed instantly online through Netflix. The movies will be included with the standard Netflix membership. According to the press release, the deal adds “significantly to a growing library of over 12,000 choices of movies and TV episodes that can be watched instantly at Netflix.”
The first batch of Starz movies, approximately 1,000 titles, are now available on the Netflix website and Netflix set top boxes. Titles include Spider-Man 3, Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Superbad, No Country for Old Men and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. More titles will be added in the coming weeks, although how many hasn’t been revealed. Just another reason to subscribe to Netflix. Now if only they would get their asses in gear and offer the instant play option for Mac customers.
