May 4th is a day to celebrate Star Wars, to celebrate the pageantry, the action and the legacy George Lucas first brought to the screen in 1977. And while we all know J.J. Abrams is about to start a whole new trilogy of films, and we’re expecting something soon on that front (still!), many other places are celebrating “May the 4th Be With You” in their own way.
Among those outlets are the Acme Archives, the official fine art licensee for Lucasfilm. They’ve commissioned an impressive line up of talented artist to make limited edition posters that’ll be released to the world on May 4 and we’re proud to debut four of the seven pieces. There’s one by Mark Englert, Dave Perillo, Ian Glaubinger and Masey. Check out Acme’s May 4th Star Wars posters below.
Here are the May 4th Star Wars posters, which will go on sale on May 4 at 1 p.m. PST at Dark Ink Art.
And here’s the info on each.
“I’m Here to Rescue You” by Mark Englert is a glow in the dark, 12 x 36 inch signed silk screen print in an edition of 250 It costs $60.00 (above, the Tatooine sunset is the normal image and when it glows in the dark, it’s the Endor fire)
“Droids” by Dave Perillo is an 18 x 24 inch signed silk screen print in an edition of 250. It costs $50.
“Destination Victory” by Masey is an 18 x 24 inch signed silk screen print in an edition 250. It also costs $50.
Finally, “Endor: Worth Fighting For!” by Ian Glaubinger is a 16 x 20 inch signed silk screen print in an edition of 150. It costs $50.
