At the Marvel event, Kevin Feige stressed the importance of this film. He said it’ll introduce “tons of new characters” and will be their 20th movie. Those characters will have new powers, which means new special effects, and “refine and expand what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all about.”

He was also asked a question about the film during the post-event Q&A.

Obviously there’s no Fantastic Four here, so can you give us any idea of how you’re creating the Inhumans world?

Well, obviously I know a lot about the Inhumans. Where they fit into the universe… you may find out sooner than you expect to, frankly. I already mentioned in the presentation that there are seeds leading to Black Panther, leading to Wakanda, starting very very soon in things you’ve already seen and will see soon. Likewise, with Inhumans, there may be easter eggs starting before you know it. Will those easter eggs include Fantastic Four? No. [The Inhumans] will be into the cinematic universe as it exists at Marvel Studios.

Here’s the official press release:

Marvel’s “Inhumans” will make its way to theaters November 2, 2018!

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige made the announcement at a special event laying out the full slate of films for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

“November 3, 2018 will introduce dozens of characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” promised Feige. “We really do believe the Inhumans can be a franchise or a series of franchise unto themselves. They have dozens of powers and an amazing social structure. With our 20th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we wanted to continue to refine what that universe is about.”

Is that enough of a tease for you, Faithful Ones? You’ll have to wait a while longer before we can give you any more info, but in the meantime stay tuned to Marvel.com for the latest on “Inhumans” and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it develops!
