In just over a couple weeks, fans of Mad Max: Fury Road will be able to pick up their own copy of George Miller‘s magnificent action bonanza on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 1st (or you can get it right now on digital download). But for those who aren’t so patient, maybe a new trailer mash-up with the post-apocalyptic sequel will hold you over.
YouTube user Egor Zhgun decided to take characters from the hit show Adventure Time and create a short little animated trailer as if they were the characters in Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s a little bit trippy, not unlike the real movie, or for that matter the TV show, with Finn as Max and Jake as one of the vehicles on the chase, but it’s a fun little creation.

The supporting characters from Adventure Time are given pretty perfect placement, with Princess Bubblegum as Imperator Furiosa and Ice King as Immortan Joe. But the absolute best use of an Adventure Time character has to be using Marceline the Vampire Queen as the Doof Warrior.
The animation isn’t too complex or impressive, but it gets the job done, and it’s clear the creator had a lot of fun doing it too. For those curious, he was inspired by the artwork of Ryan May, who previously turned Adventure Time characters into Mad Max characters. However, if you check out the artwork, you’ll see that May’s designs use more from the Mad Max characters than the Adventure Time gang.
For those who are waiting for more real Mad Max action though, we’re on hold to see what Warner Bros. Pictures decides to do with the franchise. While the movie has been acclaimed by many (it was our favorite movie of the year so far back in July), no official sequel has been announced, even though George Miller already has a plan for what would be Mad Max: The Wasteland. Unfortunately, Charlize Theron isn’t yet signed for any sequels, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.Cool Posts From Around the Web:
