Judd Apatow Discovers The Truth About Harry Potter And Daniel Radcliffe

Leave it to hard nose, take no guff entertainment reporter Judd Apatow to uncover the real dirt on Harry Potter. Apatow, best known as the writer and director of films such as The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Funny People, recently did an interview related to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 . In the interview, he was able to unearth a vital piece of information we'd all suspected but were never able to prove. Daniel Radcliffe isn't Daniel Radcliffe at all. He is, in fact, Harry Potter. The Boy Who Lived. The Chosen One. The mortal enemy of He Who Must Not Be Named. Harry Potter is real, ladies and gentleman, and he moonlights as a serious actor named "Daniel Radcliffe."

The fact that the interview appeared on some site called Funny or Die doesn't change the facts that Apatow has uncovered. See the truth revealed after the jump.

Here's Apatow talking to Radcliffe. I mean Potter. Wink wink.

Honestly, it's not the funniest video ever, but Apatow and company do come up with a funny concept. I love that they bring up Quidditch as a real British sport and the sort of "holy shit" spontaneous feel to the video. But I wish they would have gone a little further with it. I was waiting for them to talk about how Harry felt posing nude as Daniel in Equus. Maybe what it was like fooling fellow actors Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (or at least said they were really Ron and Hermione) or maybe even talked about Daniel as a fake person, like Daniel would Harry. It's such a fantastic idea that you just kind of wish it went further.

Maybe when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out we'll get a second part of this interview too.

Was there anything in the video you wanted to happen or did you enjoy it nonetheless?
