storytime 3 art show

We’ve featured artist Joey Spiotto‘s work many times on the site over the past few years. You might recognize his little Golden Book parody covers or his fictional band Vinyl record cover art. We even featured him earlier in the week as his book Alien Next Door hit stores nationwide, and written about his Storytime shows at Gallery 1988.

Tonight, Joey returns to the Melrose Avenue art gallery with his third solo art show to coincide with the release of his new book, Storytime – a Little Art Book. Hit the jump to check out some previews of Storytime 3’s demented children’s books.

Storytime 3 will featuring 40 new works inspired by some of our favorite movies, music, television shows, and video games. Here is a preview of some of the artwork which will be on display and available for purchase as prints at the show:

Storytime 3 will take place at Gallery 1988 East (7021 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038) beginning with a big opening tonight (Friday, April 7) from 7:00-9:00 PM. The art show will be on exhibition through April 22, 2017.
