My original story from July 20th 2015 follows:

One of the coolest things I saw on the show floor at San Diego Comic Con International 2015 was the Hot Toys one sixth scale Star Wars Millennium Falcon Cockpit. I wrote about it in my wrap-up of all the awesomeness at the Sideshow booth, which you can find here. The Sixth Scale Millennium Falcon cockpit is one of those displays that I don't think many Star Wars fans would have room for, even if they could afford the yet-to-be-announced expected huge price tag.

While I was drooling over it, I commented "Imagine if Hot Toys made a sixth scale Millennium Falcon" and was quickly shut down by a friend who brought me back to reality explaining they would never make something that big because no one would have the room for such a monstrosity. Well, he was wrong. Hot Toys has announced they are creating a 18-Foot Sixth Scale Star Wars Millennium Falcon. Details on the Hot Toys Millennium Falcon after the jump.

Hot Toys has announced that they will be debuting a 1/6th scale Millennium Falcon at Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong (ACGHK), the biggest pop-culture event in Hong Kong. The highly detailed 1/6th scale Millennium Falcon measures close to 18 feet (5.5 meters) long by 12 feet (3.7 meters) wide. The press e-mail I received stated "Its sheer astonishing presence will surely captured any fans' attention!" Of course, the e-mail doesn't give us any information on if this monstrosity will ever be sold to the public at large. The press release says the following:

This year Hot Toys is partnering up with The Walt Disney Company (Hong Kong) to bring the biggest Star Wars presence in the event where a number of Star Wars collectibles by Hot Toys and life-size exhibits will be on display! Starting today we will give fans some sneak peek of what to expect at ACGHK! ... If you want to see this spectacular exhibit in person, then you have to come to Hot Toys' booth (E15-16) at ACGHK in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this week!

I'm not sure this Hot Toys Millennium Falcon will ever be released to the public — I mean, who has that much room to spare? Maybe Disney will incorporate some of these 1/6th scale Millennium Falcon displays into exhibits in the theme parks, like the recently announced Star Wars Launch Bay which will be at Shanghai Disneyland. I imagine that the Hot Toys Millennium Falcon will split into cross sections to allow you to see the interiors, complete with some of the company's very detailed sixth scale Star Wars figures.

We'll post photos of the sixth scale Millennium Falcon when it debuts. For now, you can see my photos of the sixth scale Millennium Falcon cockpit from Comic Con here.
