After Disney’s acquisition of Marvel, a television division was set-up at Marvel Studios with Jeph Loeb (Heroes, Smallville, Lost and Buffy the Vampire Slayer) hired to run the operation. And more recently we learned that Marvel was developing an hour-long live-action Incredible Hulk television series for ABC. What else might be in the works in Marvel’s Small Screen Division? How about two more live-action television series based on existing Marvel superhero properties?

During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Disney CEO Robert Iger was asked about the progression of the Marvel/Disney integration. Here is Iger’s response:

[With Marvel] we’ve taken back distribution, or bought back distribution from [Viacom Inc.'s] Paramount, for some critical franchises. Notably, “Iron Man 3″ will be distributed by us, and “Avengers.” We’re developing three live-action series for ABC and ABC Family. You can buy Marvel products at Disney stores. And we’re working on Marvel games.

So there you have it. In addition to the previously mentioned hour-long Hulk series, Disney is developing two other live-action tv shows based on Marvel properties. Might it be Cloak and Dager? Power Pack? Punisher? Heroes for Hire? We have no idea what properties might be in the works at this time, but we’re sure to learn more in the coming year.

Update: /Film reader Wesley points me towards an article from The Hollywood Reporter which claims that Cloak & Dagger is being developed into a possible ABC Family series, and The Punisher has been picked as a cable television property.

Discuss: Which Marvel characters would you like to see on the small screen with their own live-action tv series?
