Want A Batman Burger? Malaysia Has DC Comics Cafes

Whenever there's a big superhero movie coming to theaters, there's usually a barrage of merchandising tie-ins and promotions that span toys to cereal to shaving cream to fast food and much more. However, did you know that there are DC Comics Super Heroes Cafes that serve food inspired by your favorite superheroes?

Over in Malaysia, there are two DC Comics Super Heroes Cafes, and you might be surprised to hear that these are actually officially licensed dining establishments. In fact, there's actually a third one set to be opened next month in Singapore. If you're curious as to what these DC Comics cafes look like and what kind of food they serve, we have some images you can check out.

Here are a couple images of the restaurants and food from Fast to Create (via Comic Book Resources):

While some of the menu items are merely named after superheroes like Superman and Aquaman, as you can see in the pictures above, others actually utilize the logos and aesthetic of some of the DC Comics characters. At the very least, this menu conceived by chef Eric Teo looks better than the fast food and chain restaurant tie-ins we see here in the United States, with the exception of that Dark Knight Mini Wagyu Beef Burger.

My personal pick would be those Batman branded waffles, which look positively delicious. And the Green Lantern and Superman logos in those drinks are very well-crafted too. Not pictured is some kind of Batman pizza that they also sell, which hopefully isn't burnt to a crisp, but some men just want to watch pizza burn. If you look closely, you can see some of their other menu items in the pictures of the restaurants themselves

So if you happen to be in Malaysia, the two DC Comics cafes are located at Little Red Cube and Sunway Putra Mall. Or if you're heading to Singapore later this year, another one will be opened there on September 1st at the The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. The question is why don't we have any of these in the United States yet?
