Back in May, we wrote that Disney had approached David Fincher to direct an remake of the classic 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. At the time they were still in “negotiations.” Well, according to the Los Angeles Times, Disney has now confirmed that David Fincher is “working on” 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.  Actually, Fincher is currently “working on” Sony’s remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo but once that film is done (it’ll be released next Christmas) and the screenplay by Scott Z. Burns is up to par, it seems like this could be next on the award-winning director’s dance card.

What do you think a David Fincher 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea will look like?
