The films of Wes Anderson have many of the qualities of a great painting. Strong composition, beautiful colors and compelling characters all come to mind. Well, the brand new LoPo Gallery in San Francisco, CA is hosting an exhibition of art all based on the films of Anderson: Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited and Fantastic Mr. Fox. The exhibit, called Bad Dads, opens October 30. We’ve been scouring the web for examples of art from the show, which reportedly will have works from over 60 artists, and have come up with a whole bunch of awesomeness. Some of them are originals, others are screenprints, and anything that doesn’t sell at the opening will be available online the next day. Hit the jump for all the links and images from the show. Then check back soon as we have another set all ready to go.
Here are just a few of the images from the show. We’ll have more in a future post.
