Baywatch Super Bowl spot

Can Baywatch the movie do to Baywatch the TV show what 21 Jump Street the movie did to 21 Jump Street the TV show? We don’t know yet, but it looks like Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron will make it happen or die trying. They star as a couple of lifeguards tasked with restoring the Baywatch brand (how meta) and tracking down a sinister criminal plot threatening their beloved beach.

Also starring are Kelly Rohrbach as the new C.J. Parker (i.e., the new Pamela Anderson), plus Alexandra DaddarioIlfenesh HaderaJon Bass, and Priyanka Chopra. While this Baywatch clearly boasts a goofier tone and some splashier action, it retains the same obsession with ogling suntanned hardbodies. Check out the Baywatch Super Bowl spot below.

The Fate of the Furious Super Bowl spot / BTS group shot

There’s only one thing Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) cares about more in life than fast cars, and it’s family. He talks about family all the time, and goes to great lengths to show his loved ones just how much they mean to him. So what on earth could compel him to turn against them? And what’ll happen when he does? That’s the question at the heart of The Fate of the Furious, the latest entry in the ridiculously lucrative Fast & Furious series.

Whatever happens, though, what’s clear is that it’s going to involve a lot of ridiculous, over-the-top action, exotic vehicles, and glamorous locations. It’ll bring the rest of Dom’s family closer together, and might even force them to forge some unlikely alliances. Check out the Fate of the Furious Super Bowl spot below.  Read More »

Now, almost 14 years after first playing the character, the actor is back as the shifty pirate.

John Wick 2 Super Bowl Spot

While the Super Bowl may be mostly geared toward a male audience, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of women watching the big game today. Some might even be expecting a special glimpse at Fifty Shades Darker since the erotic, romantic thriller sequel arrives this week. And Lionsgate took full advantage of that with their latest tease for something that’s much different.

John Wick: Chapter 2 debuted a Super Bowl spot during the pre-game coverage today, and it starts off with a tease that feels like it could be introducing a Fifty Shades Darker spot. But then it quickly takes a turn with plenty of gunfire and some hard-hitting action, making it look like John Wick is taking just as much of a beating (albeit a completely different kind) as Dakota Johnson did from Christian Grey.
