Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb may seem like an unlikely couple, but they’ll be united in the fight against a demonic child in Hell Baby. Scripted and directed by Night at the Museum writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, the comedy centers around a pregnant woman and her husband (Bibb and Corddry) who move into a dilapidated haunted house in New Orleans. In an effort to keep from having a demonic baby, they call upon the Vatican’s crack exorcism team, played by Lennon and Garant. Bet that’ll go well. Production will begin in New Orleans next month. After the jump, Clark Duke becomes Adam Scott’s kid brother, and Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti pull Amy Landecker into their Christmas tree scheme.

As filming gets underway on Stuart Zicherman‘s A.C.O.D., the comedy has picked up two last-minute additions in Clark Duke (Hot Tub Time Machine) and Ken Howard (30 Rock). Scripted by Zicherman and Ben Karlin, the film centers around Carter (Adam Scott), who discovers that he was involved in a study about children of divorce many years ago. When he signs on for a present-day follow-up, chaos breaks out among his family. Duke is set to play Carter’s younger brother, who adds to the drama by making an unexpected wedding announcement, while Howard will play Carter’s stepfather.

Duke and Howard board an impressive comedic cast that also includes Richard Jenkins, Jane Lynch, Catherine O’Hara, Amy Poehler, Jessica Alba, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. No release date has been announced at this time. [Variety]

Amy Landecker, whom you may recall as the tempting neighbor in the Coen Bros.’ A Serious Man, has joined Paul Giamatti, Paul Rudd, and Sally Hawkins in Lucky Dog. Junebug helmer Phil Morrison is directing the comedy from a script by relative newcomer Melissa James Gibson, which centers around a pair of French-Canadian con men (Giamatti and Rudd). Though they’ve had a falling out, they decide to reunite for a shady scheme selling Christmas trees in New York. Lucky Dog is now filming just outside Manhattan. [Deadline]
