Did you know that shock-jock Howard Stern was originally cast in Barry Levinson's 2006 comedy Man of the Year?

The King of all Media says that he was offered Robin Williams part in the critically planned laffer about a talk show host who runs for president. Stern claims that if he had accepted the role, the resulting movie would have been much different, and more entertaining.

"I was offered that, and I wanted to work with Barry Levinson, who is a great director," Stern said on his Sirius Satellite Radio Show on Wednesday. "And frankly, I know if I had been in it, with the changes I was going to do..."

Stern theorized that the movie failed because of it's star: "It was another... It was Robin Williams being the same Robin Williams, but it would have been good with me. But I didn't have time to do it, I had to turn it down."

The worlds most famous radio host made his feature film debut with his autobiographical 1997 film Private Parts, which he won the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Male Newcomer. The film and his performance was critically praised but Stern has yet to sign on to another film project, despite an abundance of offers.

"I'd do another movie if it was a good one," said Stern. "I can't believe I can't find another good movie."
