The first teaser poster for the Frank Miller directed adaptation of the Will Eisner's The Spirit has appeared online.

The Poster was passed around at the American Film Market this month as part of a treatment being used to sell the film adaptation. The poster cover, pictured to the left, is drawn by Frank Miller. Miller's treatment featured panels from the original comic strip.

The project announcement was first made at Comic-Con 2006, where Miller claimed that shooting would begin in late spring 2007.

"I intend to be extremely faithful to the heart and soul of the material, but it won't be nostalgic. It will be much scarier than people expect," said Miller.
