Emma Watson might not return for the next Harry Potter film.

The actress who plays Hermione Granger in the series thus far has yet to sign the contract for the last two installments. The worst part is, she doesn't seem eager to do so.

"I don't know yet," Watson told Newsweek. "Every film is such a huge production, and it's a long time."

The 16-year-old actress says she isn't even sure she wants to keep acting.

"Losing Watson would be a hard thing to change and it would be disrupting ... but ultimately the films' young stars have to do what's right for them. This is their lives," said Potter producer David Heyman. Adding, "I'm cautiously optimistic that it will work itself out."

If Watson doesn't return, this would be the second recast Potter part. Michael Gambon was cast as Albus Dumbledore after Richard Harris died. And from what we hear, Gary Oldman, who plays Sirius Black, almost didn't return after battling it out with the producers over salary.

I'm hoping this is just a ploy to get a bigger and better contract.
