(Re)Watch The Full Ant-Man Vs Falcon Fight Scene From 'Ant-Man'

For a Marvel movie, Ant-Man was pretty self-contained. It mostly kept to its own tiny corner of the universe, with its own colorful cast and own potentially world-destroying problems. The one major exception was a scene midway through the movie, when Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) sneaks into Avengers HQ.

His subsequent encounter with Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon (Anthony Mackie) is one of the film's highlights — a playful tie-in that does a great job of showing off Ant-Man's unique abilities. While most of us have already seen Ant-Man at this point, it still makes for an entertaining rewatch. Marvel (via JoBlo) released the Ant-Man vs Falcon fight in advance of the film's Chinese debut. Some spoilers ahead if you haven't seen the movie.

The Ant-Man vs Falcon scene eventually pays off in the end credits. Falcon tells Cap (Chris Evans) he "knows a guy," thus setting up Scott to appear in next year's Captain America: Civil War. And in the moment, Scott considers this an urgent mission because Hank's told him he needs to retrieve some nonsense MacGuffin for their bigger heist later on.

But it mostly exists as an extended bit of fan service, and a really fun one at that. It's a cool reminder that Ant-Man, as different as it feels at times from the rest of the Marvel canon, belongs in the same universe as the other Avengers, etc. Plus, Falcon rarely gets enough to do, so it's nice to see him step out of Cap's shadow and shine on his own.

Should you want to see the rest of the film that goes along with this Ant-Man vs Falcon clip, Ant-Man is still in theaters in some U.S. markets. Or you can wait a few months for its home video release. Falcon and Ant-Man will additionally reunite in Captain America: Civil War, in theaters May 6, 2016.
