2016 SAG Awards Winners

The Oscars are about a month away, but this past weekend the Screen Actors Guild handed out the awards to their fellow members for some fine work in motion pictures. And the major award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture being given to Spotlight shakes up the frontrunner for the Oscar race a little bit after The Big Short won the PGA Award recently. Both are key awards in the road to winning Best Picture, so it’s anybody’s guess as to how Oscar night will go.

Otherwise, on the motion picture side of things, the leading actor awards were a repeat of the Golden Globes with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brie Larson walking away with awards for The Revenant and Room respectively. But the big winner was diversity with plenty of black actors walking away with some big awards.

For the whole list of 2016 SAG Awards winners in film and television, hit the jump.
