Cool Stuff: New Era Japan’s 59Fifty fitted Star Wars Caps

New Era Japan have announced a collaboration with LucasFilm, in releasing a new line of 59Fifty fitted Star Wars caps. Included below is a preview of only some of the first wave, showing us a variety of designs, including character heads, iconic scenes, and logos. But are these cool… or just silly? I think I like the Han Solo in Carbonite black cap pictured above as it isn’t too flashy. The caps sell for around 7,000 yen, which is somewhere around $80 USD. Check out more photos after the jump.

I'd only get the Boba Fett one, the rest are actually pretty lame. But I wouldn't pay 80 for it, that's way to much.

I actually really like the Star Wars outline one with the long time ago quote on the back. Simple and clean which I like. Not for $80 though. I will admit, however, that I like the starship ones as busy as they are.

The Tie Fighter, X-Wing and Falcon hats are the best ones.
They really messed up everything else having the faces, especially the Vader hat. The Storm Trooper hat looks alright though being all white.
The Chewie hat would have been better if they took the artwork from undernead the beak and put it on top.
If I were to cop out $80 on one of these, it has to be the Han carbonite hat. That is one where you can wear anywhere.

Yeah, I doubt most of the /Film crowd really digs 59/50 hats but I sure do, and these things are sick. TBH I think the under-bill artwork is a little too much and the chewie thing is just ridiculous. I really dig most of them but don't think I'd really be interested in buying anything but the Boba Fett, and Rebel Alliance ones.

I don't like the whole 59/50 thing, but that Boba hat is pretty sweet. Think I'll buy the Marc Ecko watches, instead.

Some of these I would buy for a slightly higher than normal price, but 80$? No go, bro.

It's almost worse than the really cool, but exceptionally overpriced, Marc Ecko Star Wars hoodies.
