We’ve featured a bunch of Josh MC’s fan art on /Film in the past: You might remember his famous rendering of Ryan Reynolds at the Green Lantern, or Kristen Bell as Harley Quinn and Anne Hathaway as Batgirl. His latest piece takes a look at what Chris Hemsworth might look like in costume as Thor. Josh writes:

Perhaps a taste of what’s to come? I’ll find out in a few months if I’m close or not to what ever they end up going with. Been wanting to do this one for a while as we’ve been getting more and more Thor news leaking out, I went more Norse armour-ish and less superhero like.

Well-made, but no way it's gonna' look like what the armour did back then. The chestpiece and the hammer will probably be alot bigger and flashier.

Yea JMC has some wicked art work. I have enjoyed all of his work i have seen over the years. As for this Thor one looks pretty dam good. I would be happy if this is what we get for the film. Cant wait to see what the real one will be. Not to much longer to wait i hope.

Yeah, Josh MC has some impressive stuff (Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern in particular) but this is not his strongest. Something in the face just doesn't work. The angle of the head compared to the helmet and the left side of his face look goofy.

I really hope they go for a less traditional, more impressive looking hammer. Cause that one looks just awful.

Yeah I definitely think they'll take a more flashy/fantastical route instead of going traditional for the costume.

for some reason i'm hearing a norse master chief voice and "i need a nail". but this does look kinda goofy. I imagine the movie one could look badass. maybe more like the ultimate thor.

am i the only one who started laughing at this? thor is a beast of a guy not a skinny little dude that looks like he belongs in the YMCA

although i appreciate the "fan art" it looks ridiculous and i pray he looks nothing like this in the movie, and i pray they give a muscle suit or he puts on mass because the guy is way to small for the role

The costume looks good, but that hammer is all wrong. The head's too big, and the handle's waaaayyy too thin/short.

First off, great fan art. However, I agree with Brandon V. This dude is just too small to play Thor! I hope they beef him up with CGI, a muscle suit, or 'roids. OK, maybe not the 'roids.
