Spike Lee strikes back at Tyler Perry: “When John Singleton–people came out to see Boys in the Hood.  He did Rosewood, nobody showed up.  So a lot of this is on us. You vote with your pocketbook, your wallet. You vote with your time, sitting in front of the idiot box. And the man has a huge audience.Tyler is very smart with what he’s done. He started out with these plays, and church busses would pull up, packed, and he’s parlayed it. He’s bought his own jet.  If you can buy a jet you have money. But at the same time, for me, just–the imagery is troubling.” [thelivefeed]

  • pixar thriller....awesome.
  • :( It's now been 'removed by the user'. I'll have to search it up!
  • DisembarkedOne
Kanye West getting slapped/punched made my day.
  • That Spike Lee quote is from a conversation from an event that took place in May! So, it's not really a "strike back" at Tyler Perry. It was within that recorded discussion that Spike uttered the now infamous attacks on Tyler Perry that Perry eventually responded to on 60 Minutes.
  • AlbertSiebener
i love the "king of kong" costume!
  • Is that Lasseter in the beginning of the Pixar video?
  • sgtzim
That Tarantino Jack-O-Lantern looks NOTHING like him, hehe. I thought it was a young Marlon Brando!

And Fox should seriously consider using that Avatar poster.
  • I agree that the Avatar poster is awesome, but I don't think Fox would be able to use it, cause I think that image of Sam Worthington is from Terminator Salvation. That is unless Fox won that bidding war...
  • That is an outstanding Avatar poster
  • Sketch
The Ratatouille costume with Remy in the guy's toque is a great one! You can see it when it pans across to show the audience.
  • tmitch1109
    I love Pixar.
  • starscream9289
    That Wikus Costume is awesome!

Also, reading the comments that people defending Transformers left on that video made me laugh uncontrollably and rage all at the same time.
  • super_aj
That Avatar poster is awesome. Fox should hire a new graphic artist: Bruno V. Thats who! It's infinitely cooler than any of the shit fox has put out.
  • "Comics" by Comixology is an AMAZING iPhone app. Anyone who likes comics and owns an iPhone should get it. The app is free, there are dozens and dozens of free titles available, and the presentation is truely awesome. The way the app handles transitions and presents each panel is heads and tails above any other comics on the iPhone that I have seen.

And even if you don't like the default presentation style, there are plenty of options to chose from. The in-app comic store so closely mimics the look, feel and functionality of the app store it almost looks like a native Apple interface. And although the Marvel titles may cost $2 many of the comics are only 99cents. So far I haven't had to buy any though, I'm only half way through the 12 or so free issues I've already downloaded.

    iPhone owners, pick it up!
  • Arupadhatu
yay, Hammer Film is really back!:D
  • Wow! That scene from Star Trek is racist!

    8)
  • EvanJDeBiase
how does american dad keep getting picked up. i only watch it when i'm too lazy to get up and find the remote after family guy. It's the definition of a piggy-back hit.
  • Mike
Actually, whereas Family Guy has been treading water ever since its been resurrected, American Dad has found its niche and surpassed its predecessor.

Also, the Pixar video got taken down :(
  • - smallville is still amazing, the bashing it gets is more tired than the show has ever been.

-oh no!! ebert didn't like ROTF & has very adeptly warned us against seeing it!! thank god for him.

-for some reason i love that the WAG burton article says, 'my fav characters.. and not 'THE best bburton...'

-as always, i'd be down for the napoleon sequel if the script were amazing. no harm in sequels if there's a great story to be told.
  • Was that Star Trek scene meant to be funny? In this day and age no-one should be using the "they all look the same" joke, even if the race is fictional.
  • It is sad that The Box is being pushed as 'the new Cameron Diaz movie' when there are other angles they could also run with.

That Tarantino jack-o-lantern is very impressive! Another brilliant Page 2.
  • oats
its already been said a few times already but that Avatar poster is about 10x better than the official one. Great job.
  • Superhog
Most of the Smallville bashing comes from people who stopped watching years ago. Last season and this current one are by far superior to previous seasons. If you haven't go check out the season 8 DVD.
