Yup, Universal is releasing yet another direct-to-DVD American Pie sequel/spin-off. And yes, the jokes have gotten progressively less funny. This time around, the story focuses on three friends at Great Falls High, who like the original group, are “determined to succeed in their mission of manhood and score with the ladies of their dreams.” But before that can happen, they must reconstruct “the bible”.

After some uproarious attempts with less than successful results, they accidentally discover a legendary guide to seduction hidden in the school library. It turns out to be a rarely-seen, often-sought manual about the secrets to sexual success, penned by some of the school’s previous generations. But a few missing pages leads to hilarious surprises for everyone… including the alumni.  The film stars Eugene Levy, Rosanna Arquette, Bug Hall, Kevin M. Horton, Brandon Hardesty, Beth Behrs, Melanie Papalia, Jennifer Holland, John Patrick Jordan, Louisa Lytton, Sherman Hemsley, Curtis Armstrong and Jim Wynorski.

CraveOnline has the movie trailer for the film, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, which will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download on December 22nd. All copies feature both the Rated and Unrated versions of the film, which make you wonder why two versions of the film were even produced. Why not just release the Unrated version?

    This is AMAZING DUDES....ENJOY....
  • Is it just me or do the American Pie chicks get progressively less and less attractive.

I mean I already know the jokes are bad but that coupled with it, sucks :(
  • I like the girl in Fred Flintstone outfit.
  • They still make these?

Why does this deserve its own page, lol?

To keep the other stories from contracting something from it.

American Pie 1 was the best, Part 8 was ok, but Part 24 was really bad. I hope this one is better.
  • Oh, when will they start to spare us from this agony! Do they hope there will be soon an Oscar for the "Biggest Franchise Overkill of the Year"? Well, at least Saw would be a worthy contender.
  • thorofthunder
My god when will this stop? It's just like Saw.
  • lipslikeasukal
Well, at least there's non-bloody boobs in this series.

I can't believe I'm asking this, but how do they keep explaining Eugene Levy's appearances in these movies?
  • I just posted about this on my Facebook a couple hours ago LOL ... I'm not really knocking the movie, just business-wise I'm trying to figure out who said, "Hey, no one knows we've made six American Pies, let's make a seventh"

Just when you thought the dead horse couldn't be beaten anymore.

So why did I watch that?

WTF they need to stop doing this. im shocked that Louisa Lytton is in this movie shes famous in the UK for starring on British Soaps and Strictly Come Dancing.
  • scotty
Well since I had to google her she can't be that famous here. Then again if she was on Strictly Come Dancing she must of been on TV at least once or he dad must of been famous.
  • Guest
i know what you mean but she was famous for doing British Soaps Eastenders and The Bill in the UK both are well known TV shows over here in the UK.
  • scotty
yeah and in all fairness I do know how she is just didn't know the name. From what I remember she's actually a good actress. So you're right it's a bit of a strange one but I suppose everyone needs a break. Onwards and upwards for her I'm sure.

Louisa Lytton did the UK version of Strictly Come Dancing.
  • scotty
yeah I know. but my point was that being "famous" isn't exactly a prerequisite for that show. Using a urinal after Hugh Laurie would qualify them

It looks awful, but I want to see it for Brandon Hardesty, who I've followed on youtube for years for his amazing film re-enactments. I'm proud of the guy, we're facebook buds.
  • jackdurden
For such a talented guy I wonder what he's doing in this movie playing the stereotypical fat guy (his character on IMDb is named 'Lube').
  • heavewes
Bug Hall? Wasn't that Alfalfa in "The Little Rascals?"

I was thinking the same thing...
  • Wow, Eugene Levy's career is so dead it could date my great-grandmother.
  • Reese
Well, he's gotta do something since Christopher Guest is taking his sweet time getting another movie together. But hey, he's probably getting just shy of a million bucks for one day's work, can't say I blame him. That extension to his house ain't gonna pay for itself.

Obviously, you MUST get this in Blu-ray.
