When Paramount and Jon Favreau brought footage of Iron Man 2 to Comic Con, we saw a scene where Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), mostly in his Iron Man suit, has a conversation in a donut shop with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Now we’ve got a shot from that scene, sadly only featuring Stark. Fury must have been ordering another couple crullers.

You can see the full shot after the break, along with some shots of Liam Neeson/Zeus and his Silverhawks armor from the new Clash of the Titans.

That’s well and good, but check out Liam Neeson as Zeus in Clash of the Titans. Like I said, holy Silverhawks! (I know, there are other things Zeus’s armor resembles, and to a lot of people it will cry Excalibur — which Neeson was in, of course — but Silverhawks came to mind and I’m running with it.) I’m not saying I don’t like it, and he could well look like a quicksilver killer in the film proper, but this shot? Wow. Pretty far cry from the more benevolent, classic-looking white-robed Zeus played by Sir Laurence Olivier in the original film. Tell me the father of the Greek gods gets a little Taken bloodlust going in this version and I’ll be happy.

EW has these shots as part of one of the mag’s big multi-click preview galleries. Click through there to see two more Clash of the Titans shots, one of Polly Walker as Cassiopeia and another from Zeus’s set, where you can see Neeson’s stand-in (or stunt double) and more of the set. In addition, you’ll find green-screen behind the scenes photos from The Lovely Bones and 2012, and regular behind the scenes photos from Nine and Date Night.

Empire also has a handful of new Clash of the Titans shots. I love the one of the three witches/oracles/fates, and I want to know what the hell the guy standing next to Perseus is in the other shot I’ve excerpted below. Head to Empire for all their shots.

  • RDJ proving once again how bad ass he is. Epic.
  • Taken69
    Liam Neeson looks fucking hardcore!!!
  • Craigasorusrex
Robert looks great. The pictures from Clash of the Titans look awesome as well.
  • Yoji
    Liam Neeson looks badass.
  • Octoberist
funny how I didn't care for the remake for "Clash" but man, the creature effects are kinda old school.

BTW, the tall guy with the blue turban is suppose to be a 'wooden warrior'; a Chewbacca type for Sam's character. Maybe a cool replacement for that robot owl from the original?
  • freemachine
I forgot how tall Liam Neeson is (6'4"). Combine that with some bad-ass armor and you get one Zeus I wouldn't want to piss off.
  • Randy Savage
Wow, I couldn't give a shit about Clash until I saw this photo.
  • Yep, I read your post in the voice of the Macho Man Randy Savage. It was hilarious.
  • thorofthunder
    Hahahaha.
  • Joe
Liam Neeson looks pretty hardcore. And obviously Downey Jr. is still awesome as Stark.
  • starscream9289
Seriously. This is just Liam on a Tuesday morning. Sometime after the pistol whippings but before he bestows miracles to needy children of African tribes.
  • Andyrooskie
The design of the fate's heads reminds me a bit of the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth, and that's definitely a compliment. Count me intrigued.
  • DRF
How does RDJ wear the shades under the helmet? Just a little curious.
  • somebody
lol man! the helmet comes with the shade man.
  • Sketch
What I want to know is how can he sit on one of those cheap benches with that armor of his and not break it? It's not THAT light!

    Awesome pics nonetheless!
  • MP
    Partly metal, partly real....Liam Neeson
  • abergamo
CotT is probably going to be the biggest blockbuster of 2010 I think. Looks like it could be Troy, 300, and Lord of the Rings wrapped up into one.
  • so did the concept artists and final production artists just hang around Del Toro for a few months? some of these creatures look like his ideas.
  • M.
That Ironman suit looks terrible. It looks like something someone could slap together in the backyard- paint their sports gear red, add a little plastic...

    Some cheap Halloween knockoff.
  • bobsaget1230
ok....do you not see the motion captures on his arm...im pretty sure they are going to just cgi the rest of the suit in...they may not even be filming and he is just taking a break so they took some of the suit off...do really think they would put that shit in the movie???
  • mangoshakes
clash is seriously moving up my want to watch list. these shots of of RDJ in "i'm so cool i don't need to wear my helmet" shots are started to annoy me though. and thinking back, i don't think there's been that many. i think it's just that personality trait that they're playing up a loot.
  • The_Kid
I get a real guillerme del toro vibe from the clash pics and of course tony stark is awesome.
  • Whoa, Neeson looks hard as f*ck in that get-up. Don't mess with him!
  • Xaeinovis
That is a wonderful design for Neeson's look. My eyes opened wide when I saw what he looked like.

I'm very pleased with how CotT is coming around, I just hope it meets my expectations.
  • Bogy
I really hope that's not a promo picture for Iron Man 2! The suit isn't even completed in there, part practical, part motion capture (look at his underarm area & arm).
  • At least the helmet's finished (Look at it, on the table, by his left hand).
  • papasanchez
Good god there are some moaners today. A few clear words about the IM suit.
    It
    won't
    be
    the
    finished
    look!
  • Jesus Christ! is that Zeus? or is it, Zeus! is that Jesus Christ? I think I'll go with C.) Liam Neeson with his Saturday night's on.
  • danield6
    liam as zeus FTW!!!

I am indirectly involved in film distribution in Australia and the rumor over the past few months is that Sam Worthington has been attached to play an Australian war surgeon ( Craig Jurisevic) in a new war film to be directed by Eva Orner. Apparently based on his Kosovo war experience. I have researched the guy ( i.e., googled him) and he is a trauma surgeon in South Australia who somehow ended up fighting with the Kosovo Liberation Army against Milosevic forces during the ethnic cleansing campaign in Kosovo in 1999. Rumored to have set up a surgical unit in a cave at the frontline and conducted many patrols behind enemy lines to save fleeing refugees and injured fighters. Also worked with some US Special Forces during that conflict. Returned home quietly but subsequently joined the Australian Army in 2006 and was decorated for service in East Timor and Afghanistan. He is due to release a book in early 2010, but apparently the movie hawks have latched onto it even before its release. It has been quite hush- hush but a reliable source has told me that Worthington in soon to visit Australia to me the character he is going to play……

Has anyone got any more news?

If not, spread the word so that we can dig up some more info about this rising star.

    Cheers !!!!
  • Felica day
    I don't care
  • hmmm
Sell your shit someplace else. I know when I see a plant
  • judd kolo
This is not shit. I am a personal acquaintance of the surgeon in question. The production team are aiming at multiple Oscars with this story.
This would not interest narrow minded sci-fi/ fantasy morons who dont give a crap about those who make a REAL difference in the world
  • papasanchez
That has nothing to do with CotT or IM. Pretty boring too.
  • judd kolo
It may sound pretty boring to you if you have no interest with what happens in the real world, but I have fiirst hand knowledge that the production team will be aiming for multiple Oscars with this.
Thanks for being narrow minded and inconsiderate of those who help those in need!!
  • Big Wyll
i think everything looks pretty good. but what the hell is with perseus have a buzzcut!
also zeus in full plate armor!!! while i'll admit that it looks great, it is hardly ancient greek.

im just hoping this film lives up to my expectations.
  • thorofthunder
    Liam's badassery is neverending.
  • darrin
that iron man suit in that pic looks really lame, it doesnt look like the iron man suit in the first one, it looks more like iron man suit from disaster movie
  • WhatYouHadSaid
Both films look great so far!
  • Meli_V
I'm not usually on board for remakes but I have a little bit of faith for Clash of the Titans. The pictures look pretty cool.
